Im growing my first grow now with one of those giants :p

I only have a red one though and obviously no previous expirience so cant say for yield or anything like that, but the plants seem to love it :p they are not streching at all and I can keep it almost on top of them without hurting the plants at all, I can have my hand on the light for a few seconds before it feels too hot and cooling it in a box isnt much trouble !

I would also love to see if anyone has any expiriences with these to post ^^

I have been wondering if a reflector is worth using with a CFL as you don't see many others using them like you do with HID lights.

I use CFL's and my grow room is matt white so i get pretty good light coverage anyway. Do you find a big difference in size / yeild with the use of a reflector around the bulb?? Also the use of the large CFL's is there a difference with the vertical and horizontal light distribution

Very nice plants skotty!

DIY reflector or manufactured?

i think they were £11.99 off the bay of e , they did the job nicely ;)

i use the reflector to push the light downwards over the plants and try to give them as much lumen as poss, if you see in the pic i was using 2 cfl bulbs and they were hanging at an angle for better coverage of the whole plants,

the lower parts and higher parts of the plants were all getting light, i cant say wether or not it is better to use a relector as i only ever grown using them.

hope this helps
