Hey bro, good questions again! I am always concerned when I see usage rates like 240ml per gallon, that's an insane amount of ANYTHING. It also would be very expensive to use at full rates (in my 4g backpack sprayer, that would be two whole bottles of Saturator per tank, yikes!)

When it comes to both foliar sprays and reservoirs soups, I use SO many things that if I used them all at their recommended strength, the EC would be way too high. My foliar sprays still come in around 500 ppm, which is pretty strong. Its also been my experience that many companies products (like GH) work better at around 1/4-1/2 strength, using them full strength on weed burns the crap out of them.

In short, it's been a trial and error thing. In the barrels I'm going by the meters, starting with base nutes, then additives until the PPM is where i want it.

BTW< drip clean, I still get clogs even at 1ml per gallon, although I think my typical dosage is 30ml to 50 gal (one shot glass per barrel)

Sorry I don't have a better answer bro, but I hope that helps somewhat.

Sooo... what you're saying is that you pick and choose what you have found to work. I get it. But still, why would DM claim it takes 60ml/liter to make saturator effective? Is this like the biggest rip off ever, or do they have science to back it up? How can you be sure (other than lack of light burn due to insufficient wetting agent) that your lesser mix is just as effective as their full dose mix? In other words, can you convince me that your method works just as good as theirs, or might you be loosing some nutrient absorption due to a more diluted mix? Just wanting to understand why Lazy takes matters into his own hands against the warning of labels.. hehe, i love rebellious souls!

Thanks!

P.S. Have you done any research on fulvic acids (diamond nectar) to be sure that 1ml/gal still offers positive benefits over and above 0ml/gal?

P.S.S. I just bought some 'liquid' kool bloom (0-10-10) per your recommendation - should i have gotten the powder form instead? The numbers are quite different, just wondering why given the same product name/label.

So instead of having your very own troll thread you're going to come into other peoples threads with your mouth diarrhea? And troll them?

Nice..... :jerkit:

I don't get it - a guest said good stuff and that was it... What is a troll in forums *I'm aware of D & D *

Nope, at least not when it comes to growrooms! :dance013:

I can screw up a plant just like anyone else, but I always try to design my rooms so they exceed MY abilities. That way the only thing holding me back is my knowledge and experience, and not some stupid shortcoming in hardware. ;)

That statement says a great deal. You rock LM!

A common reason is that most nute manufacturers don't make their product specifically for cannabis, which is a very light feeder compared to many fruits and veggies. Using them full strength on tomatoes is fine, but on pot it would be way too much. If you look at most products (except maybe AN) their dosages are super high and wont leave you any room in the res for additives, cal mag, etc.

It takes some practice, but whenever I try anything new I start at 1/4 strength to make sure I'm not gonna burn the plants up.

Nope, no side by sides, but everything I've use the spray on worked as advertised, I haven't seen any shortcomings as a result of shorting the mix.

I just started using Diamond Nectar a couple months ago, but I have noticed that my weed smells and tastes sweeter than it did, and cures faster. I attribute this directly to both the Diamond
nectar and floralicious pineapple rush sweetener in the res.

Yeah I'd heard the liquid KB was different, I've never used it but I believe the powder is much more concentrated for the money. ;)

They are essentially the same, if you read the ingredients list.
Just at different strengths, and different packages.
I have never understood why GH's chart shows a mixture of liquid KB and powdered?

Start off with 1/4 strength and work your way up.
It is very easy to over do it with the KB.
If you do, your buds will burn/redden way too early.

It is strong shit, you have been warned.

Any suggestions for ridding a garden of PM? I've never had it before and its seriously cramping my style.. I've read that it's systemic in the plant and almost impossible to truly 'rid' a plant of it, one can only control outbreaks like herpes lol. Is this true? What has been your experience and treatment method with PM? I plan to do a physan20 clean + bleach in my rooms as they rotate (between flower cycles) but i'm not sure if there's a product out there that i can throw in with my regular foilars to keep it at bay.

I have spots in both my rooms (one at week 8 and the other at week 4). In the week 8 room I cut off every leaf and piece of plant i could see that had the PM and then sprayed with safer brand fungicide. I only have a few more days to harvest so i'm pretty much just doing damage control. I hope it wont affect the taste of the bud...

For my week 4 room, i need serious help asap! How would you handle (tiny spots on only 3-4 out of 50 plants) PM in a room at week 4 flower? I've read people are using skim milk dilutions, but i also brew my own lacto bacillus cultures which i assume is the same reason people use milk. Does lacto b. kill PM? I'm trying to avoid an outbreak and need to control it before it gets out of hand.

Thanks!

P.S.

I just took about 50 clones from two moms that previously had PM spots (I treated them with safer fungicide + SNS 244).

Will the clones also have PM issues since they came from affected moms? Would I be better off ordering a tray from an outside source, or is there a way to rid these clones once and for all of the nasty PM?

Hey bro, yep you need Eagle20ew, it will cure the PM internally. Your clones might still have it (spray them with safers too) but the eagle20 will cure it all when it arrives, 80 bucks on Ebay for a bottle that will last you for yeeeeears. ;) Thanks to Krunch for telling me about it!

Chimera has a fantastic thread on pm in his seed bank forum. Check it out. I'm a fan of using a sulfur burner as a preventative measure. Read the thread and begin the attack!

Thanks for the feedback guys. Is Eagle 20 EW safe to use in flower, and if so how far in? Im working with PM in a room that's at week 4.

Thanks!

p.s. Greenthumb, do you have a link to his PM thread? I can't seem to find it...

Yeah I've used it up to week 5 I think, Krunchbubble has a link to a thread on this stuff in his sig, he uses it at higher dosages but I had good results with 1ml per gallon.
