My father had him on 8 track when I was a kid.Great memories.

My mom listened to him but in my home it was mostly Tom Jones, Elvis, Kenny Rogers, CCR, just to name a few.

freddy fender was vintage easy 70s

I remember getting my 1st county gig with lamar and the turpentine boys
and my 1st introduction to freddy's music

He was also with a group in the 90's called The Texas Tornado's. A couple of good songs were "Hey Baby Que Paso" and "She Never Spoke Spanish to Me".

Both my parents listened to him, I have a few good memories attached to those days

there was a Hee-Haw episode with him i remember. I wish they had shows like that on TV now.Lame jokes but great musicians.

He also did a couple movies."The Milagro Beanfield War"is worth a look.

I miss Freddy Fender. I used to dance to his music at Mickey Gilley's in Pasadena, Texas back in the day. I have seen his home in Corpus ChristyiTexas. RIP Freddy...we miss you.
