Texada x Blueberry....What's the deal?

This is my first outdoor grow. I have been an indoor grower for 9 years. With that said, here's the issue....

I started 5 Texada x Blueberry back in May and ended up with 3 females. They are over 5 feet tall and very bushy, I mean these bitches are GORGEOUS!! Very healthy plants. My problem is they aren't forming buds yet. They have pistils spitting out everywhere, but no bud formation. Most outdoor grows I have read about dealing with Texada Timewarp or Blueberry end up harvesting around the middle end of Sept. These girls don't look like they will be done until the end of Oct. or mid November. I went down the line of possible growth inhibitors but could find none. They get at least 6-7 of direct sun everyday, not rootbound, watered and fed whenever it's needed, no bugs, etc... They have the best outdoor conditions possible.

I am not new to growing, just growing outdoor. I knew it would take more time than an indoor grow, but I thought the time would be close. Any suggestions as to what the problem may be, if there is a problem at all?:tiphat:

I'd say no problem at all, but that depends on your location. Me @ 43N would be worried on sept 1st, but if they are shooting out pistils everywhere give it a week they will be forming.

The bb father (b130) of this cross is very sativa which is why timebomb finish is later than the timewarp clone and normal bb for that matter. It's only a problem if you won't be able to finish them in time in your climate.

I am in the Pocono area of Pennsylvania. I know some strains will go until Oct./Nov., I just wasn't expecting it from this hybrid. Hopefully it will be a mild fall and I can get some more time outta' these girls. Thank you....:tiphat:

I accquired the beans from Peak Seeds BC...: Blueberry (indoor)

Pure Blueberry of our own creation using genetics from Sagarmatha, Dutch Passion and DJ Shorts. The results clearly speak for themselves. A little fert sensitive, start with low doses and increase as plant demands. Recommended for experienced growers as it can be a bit more demanding to grow/clone. Unique flavor, fantastic potentcy, very popular. 60/40* indica/sativa. Eight weeks flowering. Medium height.

Texada Timewarp (indoor/outdoor)

This strain came to us from a group of outdoor commercial growers here on the Island. Its hardy and low-maintenance. There are some variations in height and branching style. Excellent, clean high/superb smoke and taste. Matures mid-late Sept.

PEAKS stuff goes long for some reason,I think it is the BB in them.I grew the northernberry outdoors last year and it went til the end of Oct. but was some grade A smoke.I just don't like to leave them out that long as the hunting season starts in oct.I believe they told me the Skunk x texada would prolly be the fastest.

Thanks...I have been growing Mj's beans for over 8 years now, Peak's a great company. I love the Northern Berry as well. Grown it out MANY times indoors, always great smoke. I have 6 of Peak's Texada x NL females going indoors and they are some really nice looking plants. Luckily, I don't have to worry about prying eyes or hunters.

Timewarp always does better and finishes quicker with less mould for me in containers, I tried a few in huge holes before and some went into mid/late october and had long spindly buds that never really filled out like they should have.

I have these girls in 5 gallon containers. A nice mix of Ocean Forest and Roots Organic with some perilite and lime. Only had to hit them with some 2-7-7 when I saw preflowers. The soil mix is real nice and is carrying them through wonderfully. They are fed with natural spring water. I was really expecting to have to have used some vegging nutes, but didn't have to. So far this has been a great first experience for me with the outdoors. :jump:

Hoping to see a little bit of bud. Since this is my first outdoor grow, I'm not really sure what to expect yield wise.

you should def hit em with 1500 ppm bud formula at least once approx 3 wks from finish date for swellage and resin profile

Just got back from checking the girls. We have been getting a good amount of rain today and they really dig it. I last saw them about a week ago and they now have bud formations, yay!! They are really healthy plants. Will take some pics next week now that buds are forming.
