You think a 5 x 5 grow area would suck? Try less than a 5x5 living area!

asia is insanely crowded....even a "nice" sized apartment in tokyo or beijing would be considered tiny by american standards. most people living on section 8 in the hood have bigger living spaces than your average person in asia.

in my last trip to tokyo me and my brother had a TINY ass hotel room. like it was the size of a closet with a bunk bed in it. you could touch both walls. the only good thing about that shit was that as soon as we wake up, we are out. no sitting around wasting time because its soo cramped. wake up, leave, go out alll day, come back drunk and sleep.

Well I hate to tell you but I have lived in something this small and had one that was smaller. I do live in the USA and for more than 6 monthes I had a space that was smaller then the one you saw. I was a truck driver and the cab of some tractors has the bed up to the back of the driver seat. I got into a larger one and had 3 feet of space from back of driver seat to edge of the bunk. Think about it next time you see one passing you on the road.
No bathroom. Truck stop showers.
Bed, TV if you can afford it, Radio, Heat and AC if you can Idle your truck (2-5 hundred if you get caught) Cooler (fridge). On the road for 2 weeks will get you 2 days home (unless you dont have one).
Pay is about 34 cents per mile. 3000 miles per week. Maybe sleeping in the day maybe in the night. It is a job with some benifits and some deficits.
I had lots of fun driving across the USA and wouldnt change it for the world.

Tonto- check out some trucks rolling down the road someday. They have little ass apartments on then so to speak. They go from "coffins" under trailers in the old days, to almost full apartments on there. Course the more your truck weights the less you can haul. So the less you make. Creature comforts cost on the road. As far as the 200-500 bucks. With climate change laws clamping down. I am sure there are places that no longer allow trucks to idle there motors at night to cool or heat the cab. I don't have a lot of experience out on the road. Just enough to know its not for everyone to drive. If it wasn't for piss test laws. I surely would. Kava, if I am wrong anywhere just let me know. I dont spew too much BS ;)

Would probably do most americans good to live in a place like that for 6 months.

Including myself. I have talked with the misses many times about this. We would both rather have like 2-5 acres and 800-1100 sq ft house. Forces you outside to take care of the place in any nice weather. As well as giving you lots of space to take care of your needs. Our houses need to quit being a retreat from life.

Back to the apartment. Think of the social life this must create. You work for slave wages with millions of other wage slaves. The apartment from hell. No money. But at least there is millions of people in the same spot. Must be something fun going on. Or is it really just shit hole job shit hole life with no hope?

Maybe that's just my bleak outlook for the time.:smokeit:
