Alright, so in my years of breeding and smoking, I have noticed that rarely do any of the cannabis found on the market today actually coincide with what their name suggests. Blueberry tastes like cannabis. Strawberry Cough tastes like cannabis. Granted, there are different textures to it, but it all has a round-about similar flavor. Its a lot like wine in that a lot of it tastes the same, but an experienced taster can taste differences. Fine and dandy.

Once, a friend brought me a gem he had procured. He said that it was called "Blueberry Haze." A breath in was smooth. A breath out.. and I taste fruit. Real, actual, edible fruit. Possibly blueberries, but definitely the taste of something sweet and edible. The high was amazing and long-lasting. I wonder if it was an additive or if the bud actually had this taste.

So my question..

Are there any buds out there that have an actually taste that is very close to something actually edible, and not just a variation in the cannabis flavor that is all over today's green?

Yes there are many. The key is to find the rare really tasty phenotypes and then dry the buds over a long time at low temperatures, and cure them until the plant matter has changed color (gold/tan or brown usually). It will look less appetizing, but taste and smoke mucho better. If you're buying buds then you're not getting slow-dried long-cured buds, they are usually dried in less than a week then delivered to buyers.

Also, there is Blueberry with amazing blueberry-muffin like taste if you search for it, and i have also had strawberry cough that tasted just like strawberries and cream. Phenotypes that transfer smell into taste is rare but they exist.

I was skeptical like you were, until my one and only Phish Show ... Lemon Wheel ... There were hippies walking around with gallon jugs of blueberries. I was on my way out, and I wanted to score some nice herb. I put two and two together, asked, and received some phenomal blueberry, that even LOOKED like blueberries and along with tasting like blueberry poptarts, it was the nicest weed I've ever experienced.

I've grown out 3 different BB strains since then, including DJ Short True BB, and none tasted ANYTHING like BBs. It still pisses me off.

anyone know who sells 100% haze x dj's blueberry? that sounds delicious. you know what other cross i was thinking about that someone should do, haze x sweet tooth 3. no one ever did that right?

BlueCheese... Its crazy and every time me or someone i know has grown it out.. its been a chemical Blueberry flavoring.. its the plant... no additives to make it that way.

Taste is the hard quality for sure! I find that organic soil seems to make the best scents and tatses.

Often the seeds are sweet like sugar sweet here. The plant itself tastes sweet too.

Has anyone tasted Blue dream? I have just picked up a couple clones of Blue dream and I don't know what to expect.
Some say Cream some say Blue-berry Muffin.

These have been chem fed so they have little scent so far.. They just had their first organic liquid feeding a couple days ago.
