What's new

I started with a gaggle of bagseeds. Out of the 25 I started, I was left with 18 really heathy ones. Not bad considering some of them are 5 yrs. old
On the other side I have 15 clones.
Purple Haze
Lemon Skunk
Cindy 99
My cindy mom came down w/ a sickness in which it had a massive leaf die off. It could explain why my clones are suffering and took longer to root.
The purp and the skunk are little juggernauts. They are already growing offshoots that will be clone-worthy in a couple weeks. I would like to take clones from the clones and not have to worry about moms.
The cabinet that held the moms is now on it's side with The florous mounted to the side. I am rockin 276 watts. The moms have been cloned and culled. I wasn't able to take clones from the golden maze (Geurilla gold x LH/PU x MTF) because she had way to much to auto in her to reveg so I took her to 65 days and smoked her down. :) Great smoke.
Anyhoo. Let's get some pictures. I will show the moms before they came down.

Yeah, they outgrew the cab
Here is a couple pics of er'body in the cab. seedlings left, clones right. Since the name of the game is to get them as close as possible to the cfl's I used six square pots to raise the level and placed a couple shelves to place the plants on.

They look pretty rough. Still dialing in my cloning. First time with rockwool cubes. Got too wet. I was overdoing it with the water in the tray they sat on. I onderestimated the perlites ability to wick up water. They will bounce back.
Got good steady temps as Mr. Thumbman can attest too. lol.

Seedling/clone area and possibe mom area. 69 watts

Were on 12/12 at this point. Day 4. In 60 days we will have some fresh Kron. I started with no veg due to the fact I want to keep the skunk and haze going through the cab; I want to make sure I have enough space when they flower. Bout 28 inches.
In case anyone's curious the bagseeds are from jack horror, mr. nice guy, chrenobyl, assorted kushes and some fire reg bush.
I have 36 more strains to try. (More info on request.) I have been doing breeding for a few years and this is my second sensi crop. So... any males will be sent to the sweet by-and-by.

Little update/sog

Little update/sog

As promised; I am back with a small update.
I am hoping for at least fifty percent females which should thin the herd out a bit. If it is more than that I could be in a pinch. lol There will be possibly 30+ plants flowering in there.
I didn't give the clones much veg time. It was about 17 days from taking the clone to 12/12. They are throwing pistils already and I am not sure how much they will stretch. Since this is new to me I have to hope for the best. If they could finish 12+ inches I would be happy. Less penetration issues. I am hoping for some little cola sticks. hahaha.

I have decreased the distance between the lights and the seedlings.

Any of you sog'ers have any helpful ideas I'm interested. Hopefully as time goes by more people will become more interested in the thread.

I think you could use about 1/4 as much light for the clone area.

You don't want too much light during cloning,so I've found. Less light will let the plant focus more on rooting. I have 2 sqft that I light with a single 23w CFL and it's 2 weeks to solo cups full of roots, every time.

There'll be plenty of time to dump lumens on them later when they have a root system to back up all that photosynthesis.

Give me a Kenworth truck, an 18 speed box and I'll

With SOG'S I put clones straight on to 12/12 and I have a large area. I don't want them going big on me. Even with 1000W I want to ensure maximum light penetration. I also do single cola style. I am aiming for one single cola from each clone and trim any lateral growth that does not look like it will stay close to the main stem. Any chance of getting an HID in there? I'll keep watching, interesting little SOG.

hey Kc. I only used one of the lights to clone. Once they rooted then I switched all the lights on. The left side of the cabinet you see is unused and will be the new area for clones and a couple bonsai mums.
HC... I had the same idea as you to lollipop them and remove all the bottom shoots to prevent a mess of popcorn. I have a 150 watt and a 70watt hps. Maybe after this grow I will try that. It would be less wattage but alot more lumens.
Thanks for the info guys. keep it coming.

Everything is going good. We have lost five males so far which was expected. Can't grow from seed and not expect it. I think two more may be as well. That is still under fifty percent so far. Only one confirmed female so far. The purple haze is about 7 days behind the lemon skunk. The lemon is blowin up and the haze keeps stretching.lol
I have to say that growing with these cfl's is great. Peep this distance between internodes; or rather the lack of it...

Notice how the shoots have grown beyond the main cola to create 3 tops. Don't think I've ever seen that before.

Still not seeing much love on this thread. I'll continue to post for all you lurkers. lol I said I would take some proper pics once I got my camera back. Found another male today. Most of them are showing pistils. Thank god for that.

There is 12 left. I am stoked about it. This is the first time I have grown a straight sensi crop. I have fifteen clones which are doing great with the exception of the cindy 99. Whatever problem the mom had the clones do too. Them and the purple haze will end up finishing a week later than the lemon skunk.

Everything is going good so far. I have had a little ph issue and a couple leaves that got a little crisp because of contact, but neither are a big problem. I took a mess of pics. You can see that the clones are filling out well and the seedlings, which are no mature are stretching and throwing pistils. I'm liking that 12/12. It's a cool way to grow. Anywhooo...
001-2.jpg

During watering I take everyone out to agitate the topsoil to prevent dry spots and to rotate their position in the cabinet. It helps with bud development making it more even.
The seedlings. They are incredibly healthy and I think the yield will be greater from them.

You can see that they are most indica dominant.

I could take 20 + identical pictures but you get the idea. They are bright white and healthy. Zero algae growth either.

Shorter faster bloomin' pheno. The others are twice as tall.

Everyone back inside and rearranged. Pain in the ass, but if you're like me you like to fuss and spend time with them.

Another 5 day update. Not much new but the development of the buds. The lemon skunk are going famously. The others are stretching like crazy. The seedlings are close to eighteen inches as are the hazes.

They are a couple weeks behind er' body else. I'll leave you with some closing shots detailing the distance between the plants and the lights. Growing a sog with cfl's is a full contact sport. lol :bong:

Great pics and updates. Even though you don't get shit for responses on these forums, (most weed and other forums actualy) due to the almost 100% of posts being either "help me, help ME", or a quick excited post with never any follow up. But I digress, lol.
Like I was saying, even though you don't get much return for your effort in putting up all the pics and updates, you can always use it to look back on.

I've looked at some of your other posts, nice buds, very nice. I am just starting to grow just a couple plants, my first. Hope they turn out half as nice. What is your program? Nutrients and medium? Any info is helpful. I have a 6x6 room with a nice high 7 1/2 ceiling, but I don't really know if I should just let them grow tall while vegging or top them.

Hope your harvest is bountiful bro.

I use happy frog soil. With The fox Farms line of nutrients, bud candy, unsulphured molasses and milk during flowering. I haven't got much love but it is about me as much as it is for you guys. In the beginning I was intimidated of this site because of the large scale growers. I have been a member on cannabisculture.com for a few years. lol I wanted to have dual citizenship because i thought it would help me as a grower.
Thanks for the luv.
I say run a couple 1000 watters in there and keep them around 3 feet. You have 7 foot trees you will need at least 5 1000 watt lights hanging. I am not really the one to ask. The most I have ever used is 350 watts. lol
Good luck

I am down to 23 plants now. I lost a couple more to being male which was expected but the ratio was more like 60/40. That's what happens when you go from seed.
