MicroGrow Seed Run question!

I've got a couple of auto seeds of various strains and I'm planning to use these next summer for the outdoor season, my plan is to do a big outdoor grow with a couple of different auto strains, so instead of buying any more seeds when I already have these intresting strains, I tought it might be a fun & cheap idea to do a couple of microgrow seed runs, cause i can't really do anything other than micro where I live atm.

My toughts where if the outcome of those plants will be any shorter than the original versions since I'll be doing them in a Pc-cabinet, and plants probably wont reach their optimal height..

The next generation Should be average height & yield since its all about genetics right? wrong?

Hey sandnut
The plants will always grow to there pre-determined size based on their genetics. The plant will not realise it does not have the head room and will keep growing. So you will have to employ LST (bending and tieing) techniques to keep them small. It's true that a plant will grow bigger if the space is bigger, but like I say the plant can't see so it wont stop growing. Hope this helps.

Also I did a seed run just recently, the link is in my signature down below.

So just to recap the genetics will be of the same height and yeild, the resulting seeds will grow with the same characteristics as the original seed.

Happy growing

As an afterthought are you going to do a pollen chuck over multiple plants, because If you select one male and one female the resulting seeds can/will take on those characteristics. So for instance if the male and female were both say no higher than 20" and the rest were 40" then those resulting seed will increase the chance to get more 20" offspring.

Am I making any sense. I know I can think it, but i'm not sure if this is coming out a nonsense. I always thought the same at school during exams......... am I rambling nonsense.... hahahaha

I've found that plants in smaller containers won't grow as big.

A plant may not realize how much head room it has, but it can tell how restricted it's roots are and will grow accordingly. Well..at least in soil...in my experience.

Haha.. did you really pass school?..joke ;) I think you have a point there, btw, im germinating 10seeds as we speak so im hoping for a fair shair of females/females,

Indeed, its all about the root space, and how well they can be fed with nutrients, air, and so forth. Im gonna try out some new containers for the plants, which are pretty long in height and not so wide, ive heard plants like to grow down more than to the sides, especially autos.
