GrowLab120 w/600 in progress!

Welcome all

After two grows in a stealth cab running 4 42watt cfl's, I've graduated to a tent and a 600!! still pretty new to the hobby and learning new stuff everyday!

Running a 600 watt Lumatek digital ballast with a Lumetek bulb, with a panasonic whisper Fan 110cfm. Props to Bulénath for https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=45196 works like a charm!!

The strain I'm working with is from Dr Greenthumb, I ordered some bubba kush from him, Based on the two previous grows I have no idea which strain they actually are. Only 3 germed, ended up all being female, 2 indica dom and one sativa dom. Roughly 4 weeks into the first grow the two indicas started flowering differently. One resembled the bubba kush, the other went all deep dark purple. Both of em were top notch all frosty and goey!!! All in all I'm pleased from the Dr. lol

So grow is 10 days into Flower
2gal pots
ff ocean mix augmented with lime
Temps:
79-82 50%rh lights on
69-72 60%rh lights off
Ph checked daily at 7
Nutes: Per gallon
1tbs Molasses,
1tbs Botanicare ProBloom soil 1-4-5
1tsp superthrive

how often do you feed and water, looks like your doing hydroton. also your plants look a little underfed, but could just be the hps light. love the 120's, i use one for a veg room. good luck

I got the ladies in some fox farm ocean forest mix, the hydroton is just a top dressing. I have been feeding them everytime I water which is every other day or so when the pots lighten up. There are 9 of em in there 2 were vegged for a bit, the other 7 were younger clones.

Checking the ladies today noticed some wierd pistils forming on one of the larger gals. She's got female flowers everywhere but a few of these popping up. Curious to see what ya guys think.

its just your light, lol. watch them closely if any male site show on those, pick them of asap. looks like there might be a set of nuts on the lower node, but hard to tell. looks really good otherwise

Hey all,

Well I've had some pretty bad luck the past few days lol. All my flowering ladies hermed out on me. The only thing that coulda stressed em is I had some lighting issues for 2 days when a bunch of them were in veg, guess that was enough? The two older plants flowering I had to chop, little banana's everywhere. The younger 7 werent as bad so I plucked em, buds are getting frosty so letting them go might end up for some good canna butter? So now that the hermie trait is triggered all the ones affected by the light issues that are still in veg I might aswell scrap, right?

This hasnt happened before and the only thing that was done differently was the dark period before the 18/6 and the 12/12 switch, this grow was only 12hrs, last two previous grows were 36hrs. I have a few clones that are old enough to flower so I'm thinking about trying that in an attempt to not have to start from seed again. I have one mother that was in a different place and was safe from the lighting issues, so I cloned her last night and gonna see what happens I guess.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated

herms suck i was wondering how lightproof your tent is im about to purchase a 4x4 tent and was almost set on the growlab120 i liked the fact it was rated for over 100lbs of cieling support. u should zip ur tent up either with the lights out from the inside looking to see if u have lightleaks comin in this can be a main cause of herms. i dont think a 12hr dark period would cause that. but tha may vary from strain. i would assume u have a light leaks somewhere. u can also check by puttin the tent in complete darkness and fire the 600w up, close the tent,and see if u see light sneakin out. but hid light sneakin out is not as bad as light interuptin ur dark perid so i would zip myself in personally. if u can see ur hand in front of u, u have to much light leakin in. best of luck and im gonna be waitin on your answer before i order my tent

Heya Stoney, I couldnt be happier with the tent.they are def not lightproof outta the box.....after a few hours and some chrome ductape from wally world they are. The room my tents in is blacked out too, but who knows. I'll be double checking once the lights are back on. Who ya getting ur tent through? Hey all

Grow still going fairly well. Here's some pics at day 38 roughly 20 inches tall, lights were flipped on em when they 12 inches high. No signs of bananas since I plucked the first ones.
