Motta-Tokka's 2nd RDWC Run, 1200 Watts, Sealed Grow Tent

Alright so my first run in RDWC failed from heat and experimenting too much

2nd run should be much nicer with the way I have looked over the tent and made adjustments for the extreme heat in the garage over the summer.

This run I have eight, 5 gallon buckets and the res which is 18 gallons. Total estimated volume of water 55 gallons in the entire system.

6 different strains..

(2) 707 Headband
(2) Blue Dream
(1) Green Crack
(1) Sour Bubble
(1) Blackberry OG
(1) Chem 4

Setup..

Grow Tent 4ft Wide, 6'6ft Tall, 8ft Long
1/13th HP Chiller
EcoPlus Eco Air 8 - Eight Outlet
Elite 800 Air Pump (pretty small, going to main res)
EcoPlus 396 Submersible & Inline Pump (Feed Pump on Cycle Timer)
EcoPlus 396 Submersible & Inline Pump (Used as a venturi air pump only)
EcoPlus 185 Submersible & Inline Pump (Used for Chiller)
Frigidaire 6500 BTU A/C (Ported to the outside)
424CFM Inline Fan pulling air from the garage, to the lights, to the fan, the blown outside. Using the same port as the A/C vent.

Hydro Innovations CO2 Monitor
Vicks Cool Mist Humidifier
1 on 4 off Cycle Timer, Controlling flood and water movement.

All air introduced in the water is taken from outside the tent.

Are you sure that ac is ported correctly? Looks like your going to be dumping heat right outside your tent.

I just ordered the same size of tent but where thinking of putting 3x600w air coold hps vented outside the room..
what temps do you have in you garage?
I have about 29c at highest in the room where my tent is going to be. do you think i need an ac or could i just over size the intake and out take fans?

want to go hydro some time and this looks really nice.

Hey there thanks for posting These are all started from clone. All from progressive options in sherman oaks. These have been the weakest looking cuttings so far from them. Not a big deal really as I know they are all "true".

The A/C is ported correctly for my setup. The way its described in the thread is much less desirable in all reality. So far so good on it. Running the A/C in economy mode and switched the overkill lights for some T8's and a few smaller lights for supplementation. So now I run it in the day time, and off 4-10am when its the coolest. So basically the chiller and the a/c is the power factor now there. No longer the minimum 600 watts on one light and adjustable one that I could lower to 300 watts. That was 900 watts minimum right there in lighting. I am using about 100 watts now in lighting. I will post up some pics later on that. Plants are loving the change though!

Garage temps suck! from 12-5pm it really heats up! 90-98F

NBody I would suggest you do dry runs of your system before you go live. Also man, seriously study that garage good. The times it gets hot, how you can vent the lights, air flow, how long it stays how or cold.. Also in the winter it will completely change. No insulation SUCKS!!!

4 Days in the new system. This is and was the healthiest and most robust clone out of the bunch. The other ones were kinda sad though.

Ghetto veg setup. I typically veg with my hps but since I am already using up more watts then I really want to with the a/c going.

Hey thanks for following everyone. I have had some issues going back to Botanicare nutrients after not using the full line for a while. Following the directions on the back was a BIG no no. The way the nute schedule for them is setup is suicide. So now we are recovering from the burn currently. Some of these ladies need some real loving care.. yes I am talking to you green crack and number 2 707 headband. I am certain its just because the cut was stressed as these cuts from the start were the worst I ever ran by far. Thankfully I trust the collective I got them from. If these two do not pickup in the next 3 days I will pickup a few more girls so I have a different strain for each bucket. Currently I have two of the same which I would rather not run two of the same clone.

Low concentration of Canna Terra Veg and SM-90 at the time that worked great! My new lineup I will post soon. Basically botanicare and a few extras. Thank you for the nice words

Its going to suck it out when its on to a certain point.. Not much the way I have it. The main part that I fixed was the negative flow when I had the inline fan connected to the back of the a/c unit. If I didn't fix that it would be constantly pulling everything out of the tent, cold air and all.

Still recovering from the nute burn over here. Also noticed the co2 levels stunting the growth as well. Unfortunately I cannot dial it in below or above 1500ppm so for now its off until they are old enough.

So with the nutes using

100ML PBP
50ML Cal-MAG
40ML Liquid Karma
Pond Zyme (Recommended amount)
100ML Aquashield

Total water volume about 45-50 Gallons Tap 7.0 PH / 215 PPM

Always shooting for 5.7-6.2 PH range
Currently almost 400PPM

Things slowly picking back up..

Now for the good news.. Got the extra strains removed from the tent and replaced them with new strains so hopefully they will grow nicely.

I'm liking it man. only problem, so many strains, how are they gonna eat together??? especially into flo when some are hungrier than others... I dunno I forsee that being aproblem with all strains eatin off the same rez.
