I have an issue getting high

Howzit,

My tolerance is straight through the roof these days, i just don't seem to get high.

However having said that recently I was given a some water bubble that broke me in 2 and did so for the next 8 hours. Pure craziness. So I thought let me try this bubble thing and so I did two days ago.

I used the following:
Cheese x 2 phenos' (fresh trim and popcorn)
Super Silver Haze (fresh trim)
G13HP (fresh Trim)
Power Plant (Year old trim and popcorn)
Sensi Star. (Year old trim and popcorn)

Now after two days of drying out, its nice, a bit green in taste but the high I was looking for is missing. 30 min max is what i'm getting.

So my question is what am I missing or not understanding?

Also I wanted to know what would be best for me in the future. I'm looking to get high, not stoned.

Should I use Sativa's or hybrids?
When should I harvest the plant for best high effect. ( I'm thinking early, tric's still clear)
Should I use Fresh trim or Frozen trim

Any other advise would be greatly appreciated.

used a 4 the bag set. trim in first, scum removed from seconf, pull the third and scraop, pull the forth and scrap.

we re-used the plant matter three times. and got 15g from 240g trim and popcorn

Thanks for listening.
Cheers
AOF

Yeah get the same problem too after smoking everyday/night for some time. Sounds like you need to take a break and get most of the cannaboids out of your system.

Personnally I stop for about 2- 4 weeks. After that it's like smoking for the first time again. First few days aint much fun though when you stop but you gotta remember it's only tempory then you'll get back to it and fully appreciate it.

Also being straight after a long time smoking the herb is a high in itself....well sometime's lol.

Completely understandable and thx for your thoughts.

Now to work up some willpower to actually do it.

Still the question stands, if I want to get the highest high possible from the plant (strain is irrelavent for this purpose) when is the best time to harvest for water/bubblehash processing and what cultivar is best? Sativa/hybrid/indica.

Have a wicked weekend all, its nearly beer-o-clock (4pm) here and work is winding down, gonna have a beer at the work pub then head on over to the ladyfriend. Aweh!!

I would recommend a good indica with a lot of amber thricromes and maybe look into bho if potency is what you want

BHO does the trick for me. That or try taking bigger hits. The best advice is to take a break though. Even a week does wonders. saying that its been about 4 years since i took a break haha...

Aloha from our little Island. We use for pain relief here on the Island, this means we can not take a break, and as a result the overall Island tolerance is quite high.

If you are looking for a head high you should harvest with mostly clear/cloudy tricomes, regardless of the strain (so I am told). Strain is also a BIG (read HUGE!) factor in the type of effect, so choose one(s) that give you the right effects. On the Island we all have a tendency to mix strains into an effective "salad".

Now from our Island experience, if you are able to choose a different cannabinoid profile from a different strain(s) when tolerance peaks, it can overcome the tolerance... sometimes.

We have developed a number of salads based on our individual needs, and when going from my salad to another's the magic still happens. So based on Island wisdom I believe the difference in the results you experienced may be due to the different starting material.

I hope something in the post makes it more than just a waste of bandwidth.

very true. i can't smoke the same strain for more than a week before developing a familiarity to its effects (tolerance).

different cannabinoid profiles can overcome this, and so can the method of smoking

while i have a very high tolerance from smoking strictly BHO, i find that a simple dry piece can get me quite medicated. just gotta change it up.

surprisingly, simply changing the environment you're in can also significantly effect your experience. this is true across a variety of substances and is a pretty well established phenomenon in psychopharmacology.

medicating effects = actual cannabinoid content + method of intake + environment you're in

Thx for the input all,

I've been hitting the cheese for the last three months on a daily basis.

I switched up again this weekend and went for our local swazi, old faithful!! She did the trick right off the bat.

Dope roor and Big Ballin88 - I'm putting it down to tolerance buildup.
Taking a break is a good option and I should do so sometime as I've been smoking daily for the last 15 years.

Dagnabit - thx for the info, however I won't be eating any soon as the only time I've ever had a bad experiance on any substance is from eating the green stuff.

Shred420 - will give it a bash, but I'm thinking that would be a heavy goof, rather than a high? Still going to try it.

Gilliaganisle - nice read that and i'm glad you guys have found your pot of gold. I'll get there sometime with the experimenting i'll be doing with bubble.

Shot a lot for the info guys.
All the best

for longer high you want pure sativa genetics.... imo anyways. Also harvested with some amber is key.... if u have no amber trichs, it was harvested early and won't last nearly as long.

I found this link........... http://www.earthclinic.com/Supplements/lecithin.html

perhaps the lecithin "while pullilng fats from your system" will also remove the bound cannabinoids?

Just what I dug up real fast BTW, I have no say in it's effectiveness.
Myself, I like to just lay off the cannabis for a few days although I don't actually like to. :D

We find that Grape Krush keeps getting us high after smoking it for months. Also the Sweet Blue is so powerful that there isn't an issue. My hubby is a serious chimney (arthritis problems) and another couple we grow with (husband has m.s., wife has tendonitis and chronic back pain) all are saying Grape Krush still hasn't gotten boring and still gets them high. Both are DJ Short strains, of course.
