if it hasnt already been recommended, Satori will be good but it is 70days. Any Mandala strain is Cheap and very refined.

may I suggest jacks cleaner 2 by tga. The premature buds on it are more potent than most other fully mature buds I've smoked. Extremely potent...

Thanks for all the great responses. A nice mix of support, constructive criticism and recommendations. The fact is that I have successfully grown and harvested a whopping eight (8!) plants since starting this hobby, and I'm a little weary of paying top dollar that I can't justify for beans that I might just as likely kill and don't guaranty me females (I have no plans to venture into the world of cloning). Therefore, the more expensive breeders, Soma, BOG, Big Buddha, etc. will have to be excluded unless you tell me that I absolutely must pay $10+ per non-feminized seed in order to achieve the best potency.
I also can't be doing insane 100+ day Sativas. I actually have a 3 week old baby Sam the Skunkman Original Haze x Skunk that is the only bean out of the 5 freebies that popped; I don't know why I bothered though because there is no way I can keep the cab flowering for the necessary 14+ weeks. I guess I did it because I heard that the seeds were really hard to pop and I've never seen a true sativa in person.
Right now I'm looking to spend $100-$150 for no less than 20 seeds, some of which must be female. Anyone want to help me choose from this list or add some others?

bro you have to clone,,this way 1 mother plant could last you for years,,,,find that keeper learn to grow her right (this will take a few grows) & and am sure your weed will blow ya buddy heads off......

Awesome post. There are many great strains out there worthy of giving praise to but it is the learning curve thing that takes time and patience. It truly is your humble honesty that many lack, that will set you apart from others once you get betterBe proud. That crushing sadness was you being humble, something half the world cant even begin to do!
Dont let those pre-harvest jitters get ya down. I've cut plants too early MANY times for MANY reasons, but it's choice and nothing more.
IMO, one of the greatest parts of growing is the personal growth that is inevitable. I've been pumpin out tasty nugs for a little while now, and I learn new things almost every run.
You'll regain your pride tenfold, if you choose to do whatever it takes to produce something that'll floor your friends! The satisfaction THEN will be greater than the sadness now, no?
Cloning isn't complex at all. Cut off a branch, take some of the leaves off and stick the branch in a cup of water, or in soil/coco/rockwool etc. Give it 300ppm and low light 24/7. Make sure the medium doesn't dry out.. done. (You can't clone autos AFAIK.)
If you don't wanna spend top dollar on genes then I suggest using the "Pick & Mix" category on Attitude. You can buy a single feminized seed of some good strains instead of being forced to buy a full pack.
Mandala strains are supposed to be really good for the price. Look at Mandala Satori (I never tried it myself though.)

Think about cloning like riding a bike.

get some good strains.. let em finish completely by checking the trichomes and then give a good cure.. u wont get anymore complaints im sure..
for me, the easiest way to clone is plugs.. just get a dome with a tray from ur hydro shop and some plugs.. dont let the plugs dry out too much.. kln works really well at getting them to root fast.. i just keep a small light above the dome and mist..

And for less than 30 bucks, I have a nice stock pile of CR F1's and F2's Esko is the man!
I'd suggest Paradise Swiss Bliss. Potent, easy, price not high. This has never disappointed me or anyone trying my grows, more raving. Looking through my seed stash, i'd suggest don't be hung up too much on price if you see what you want. People like me spend much on mediocre seeds and never use them. Can't not say to look at Mr Nice seeds. Growing SSH and Medman now. SSH easy and great, MM a bit tougher, imo, but great. When pricing MrNice, have to remember seeds come in packs of 18 (often more). I've also grown the sams skunkXOhaze, didn't go 14, went 10 1/2 and it was dynamite smoke. Very, very, very tall plant (only grew one), but big yield, tight buds, haze odor and worth growing out. Got mine as a freebie and was the best freebie i've grown. Actually for my tastes it's right up there with the best.

Here's the order that I am now contemplating. It will net me 22 seeds (12 of them fem) from 4 different companies for $160 plus s/h from the Boo. From the recommendations given here and what I've been able to research, these strains should not disappoint. Please let me know if you think any of these would be a mistake for any reason, or if I should be seriously considering an alternative for a similar price. There were some suggestions here that were either too much $$ for me to justify (even $160 for 22 is hard for me to justify right now), or they aren't currently for sale on the Boo.
