We have brought back the old RealChat program temporarily so ppl can once again chat on icmag.

Sorry for all the delays, but we are still reviewing other chat programs that provide more than this one...

So yeah, the software in use now was never meant to be permanent. The FlashChat software was crashing all the time and there were serious security issues, so Skip put the RealChat software up in the meantime.

There was a time when I would have been satisfied with a simple chat client that doesn't crash.

But all the regulars have been using the really nice software at another site, and coming back to RealChat is really frustrating. It's like having to go to the ghetto to visit my friends hehe.

But I don't wanna harp too much on this, as plans were already in the works to switch to something better.

I just want to make sure that isn't forgotten about as we all raise glasses to chat's current return

I certainly wouldn't expect planned site improvements to be cancelled just because we have a new web person.

Gypsy is the one who stepped up to say we would get something nice and proper to replace FlashChat in the first place anyways. Even came in to tell us about the pimp server he arranged for it.

Well, for now yes most of Skips plans are cancelled. As far as I know there are no current plans to upgrade anything. In the future, I'm sure yes. If I hear differently I'll let ya know but I havn't heard any single mention of anything happening. Sorry.
