Dang you guys are harshing my mellow .... New to this site and to cultivating. I will be doing my first grow on DWC buppleponics 5 gal bucket. I already ordered Super Lemon Haze and White Russian seeds. I'm a pretty smart guy ( engineer by day) . Love all the honest criticism. Feel free to throw some my way and any recommendations for my strains will help.

If you are sold on Nirvana genetics then try either Jock Horror or Chrystal. Those in my experience were the best they have to offer and grow vigorously without issues. A few years ago, I thought Nirvana was the awesome, but now I realize they are pretty damn average. You can get much worse, but also much better. I thought the high priced beans were all just over hyped. And while that is true with some breeders/strains, many other breeders out there have some very kind offerings.
Spice of Life is always a good choice. DJ Short is same category. And just recently I have been turned on to Rez's IBL lines (SD and CD). However at this time I can't personally vouch for the ease or quality of Rez's gear, I should be able to soon though.

If u have never grown before I think u should grow out the white russian 1st. It finishes faster and is easier to maintain then a haze plant. Plus being more indica the White Russian will not stretch as much. The SLH you have finishes from 9-12 weeks(depends on grow room conditions too not just phenotype) Waiting that long can be a killer....especially when ya have no weed. Just my

My question is: are you sure you want to go DWC your first grow? Why not something simpler and more forgiving? DWC can go horribly wrong in a SHORT amount of time.
SLH and WR should be very nice choices...my only concern is your getting them to harvest. Do you already have seed to harvest experience growing?

No experience growing I have been studying every day for over 6 months. I know DWC wont be easy my main concern is water temp i know it has to stay at 68 degrees and I live in the desert so for that I am going to plant in a ice chest and keep a constant eye on the temp. I will run a AC duct into the closet and if my water temps give me too much trouble I will probably have to shell out 400 for a aquarium chiller. I will be here asking a lot of questions. Also i just bought a 1000W HPS today and attitude said my beans just left NY so I'm almost there.
