It's been awhile since i've flowered some plants, figured it was time to redesign my cab and get a perpetual garden going for personal again.

I started the build yesterday using all of my extra equipment from previous grows.

The cab measures 56" high x 22.5" wide, and 14" deep. It will be split level flowering with space for up to (36) 1/2 gallon milk cartons.

A bit of caulking a weather stripping and she will be finished

The bottom has (5) x 42W warm whites and (1) x 45W blue, the top has (5) x 26W mix and (1) x 45W blue, and is pulled by a Dayton 265 CFM fan.

Will update in a bit with strains, seeds, and hopefully some plant pics.

I will most likely be running 24 milk cartons. The extra space will help with yield, and will allow a harvest of 6 plants every 2 weeks or so, but since I will be doing 12/12 from seed on a few of my crosses, i will most likely just be cycling plants through randomly....

I went ahead and threw a WW into 12/12 as well yesterday. Also took clones a couple days back of BB, WW, Sk1 x OH, Pinesol and Blue Mystic, which should enter 12/12 in the third quarter of my cycle, right behind the seedlings if all goes well with them...

Forgot to post my soil mix - here she goes:

Base:
1 Part Peat
1 Part Coco
1 Part EWC
1 Part Pumice

Ammended with (per Gallon):
1.5 TBSP Alfalfa Meal
1 TBSP Cottonseed Meal
1 TBSP Fish Meal
2 TBSP Rock Phosphate
1.5 TBSP Kelp Meal
1 TBSP Greensand
2 TBSP Dolomite Lime

Update time

This Pinesol went in 8/13, at around 2" tall, and will probably grow right up to the lights, which are ~24" high, she stretches a bit....

Here's the White Widow that went in on 8/7. Never ran WW in micro before, we'll se how she yields

BB - already throwing pistils all over, one week 12/12:

13/16 seedlings came through, not a bad success rate. They are composed of (5) Red Dragon, and (8) WW x PPP. They've been through the soil for 4-5 days.

Seedlings: WW x PPP & Red Dragon

I culled 3 more of the seedlings that weren't cutting it, i'm looking for phenos to make F2's and backcrosses with, so the weak must go bc I'm aiming to breed strains that do well 12/12 from seed

Here is group of SK1 x OH that will be making F2's, there are 4 phenos present here, one from seed and one from clone of each. I have 4 seeds srouting right now that will go straight into 12/12 as well. Males will be removed to a isolation chamber, and the pollen will be mixed to make F2's and to hit BB, DC, PS, and maybe a couple more of my moms here in a few weeks.

Yes, both are running 12/12

I still have some fine tuning to do on the height of the cleats. The bulbs are too far away from the tops - I anticipated more stretch. I'll prob move the bulbs in the bottom chamber down 3-4 inches and the top tier's bulbs will come down about 2 inches.

Right now my only veg room is a 17 gal rubbermaid container

I'll take the wieght off of these 6 plants that went in first and extrapolate the yield when they are done.

At a maximum I can fit about 36 plants in there at around an oz every 5-6 plants, so probably around 6 oz every 8 weeks, but since i'm running seeds this number will most definitely vary from harvest to harvest.

I guess to pull 6 oz I would have to be running 36 clones of my higher yielding varieties, or varieties with higher calyx/leaf ratios such as pinesol.

Update long overdue....

Well the Red Dragon seeds were a complete bust... 4/5 were male, and the remaining female is a runt making a single little bud. Maybe i'll reveg her and send her through again to do the strain a bit better justice. I culled all the RD males bc I don't plan on breeding with the strain.

Most of the WW x PPP seeds turned male as well unfortunately. I did get one really vigorous male and female that are currently hooking up to make some F2's. Hopefully my next round of WW x PPP seeds will have a better sex ratio so that I don't have to make another 1:1 individual cross to keep genetic diversity up.

I just put (9) Blue Mystic x PPP and (9) Pinesol x PPP in oasis cubes to germ a few minutes ago as well.

I'm not happy with the yields I am getting with the cab and my soil the first go around. I need the add more phosphorous and drainage to my soil mix, and lower the cleats for the bulbs down about 4 inches all around. All the pistils on my plants are going orange way early and the bud are pretty small. Either my girls were cross pollenated by accident when I hit Yoshi w/ TBB pollen a little while back, or there is a problem with soil drainage/nutes - I will getting to the bottom of this soon.

nice setup. One question about your ventilation. How does the air flow from the flower chamber to the veg chamber? I didn't seen any light baffles.
