i like muppet too because i can call it to the kids

"minging bottom feeder" isn't v nice but it's a good insult. Along with the imagery there are 2 sylables per word so it trips of the tongue. Any ideas on the origin of 'minging' or 'minger'?

i like the word 'Berk'. My Dad used to use it when I'd done something silly-he'd look at me in disbelief and say, 'You berk.'

eddieS

i wonder if your dad knew berk was a short form of the cockney rhyming slang 'Berkely hunt' - c*nt :D

Hazy ignore them,, they are trolls

chav = chavies (from the Gypsy word for children).

The media has since tried to say that the word chav is an acronym and have taken the phrase out of context

Hope this helps

Lol! it also has another meaning from the '30s CHeltenham AVerage persons club so im told..
Funny thread by the way lol
Minging = Disgusting ugly horrible whatever
Bottomfeeder is basically a scummer. Someone who feeds from the ass of another or feeds from the ground but not litterally lol... peace

'Bottom Feeder'.....would most probably be in reference to the creatures that feed on the crap at the bottom of the lake or sea, that is mostly made from the fecal matter of those that feed further up towards the surface.....e.g. crabs....

....One of my favourite English slang words....is 'STRUMPET'....and I'm partial to a nice bit of 'Crumpet' from a fine 'Strumpet'......

strumpet is an excellent word-i must try and use it at least a few times a day-
Clunge Trumpet? thats plumbing isn't it?

Beef Curtains? I'm trying to have breakfast here. Tell me, Rick, when do you get the chance to use that one? I could understand it if you were a gynocologist-a midwife-or a porno photographer....i'm trying to imaging a conversation where I could use it-
"That Sharon, she's got a lovely pair of beef curtains" Sounds kind of bad

**** ****er and ***t are offensive UK slang.
'yo',, 'innit',, and 'later' are common UK slang.
and 'whips', 'sticks', n 'bits' all mean something completely different depending on who you roll with :D

linguistic-anthropology.... the context in the contes and codes of dialect is a heavy subject
