Micronutrients i.e. superthrive

Hello fellow growers :smokeit:.

So its easy for me to measure macronutrients with a TDS pen, however, is it necessary to measure micronutrients as well?

I use superthrive at about 1 ml per gallon, i don't know if this is the correct amount really. if the tips of the plant start to burn i lay off.. but my question is, what is the correct amount of micronutrient to mix per gallon and does it fluctuate per week like a macronutrient profile?

Anyones advice about micronutrients is appreciated thank you!@!

Most liquid fertilizers already contain all the micro nutrients your plants will require. If you are experiencing burn it is not because of any of the micro nutrients but rather b/c you gave your plants far too much nitrogen.

If you are using any of the 2 part fertilizer systems micros are included in both the bottles. If you are using a 3 part system such has general hydroponics the micro nutrients come in their own bottle and should be mixed according to the instructions.

If I read correctly Superthrive does not claim to contain any macro or trace elements in their product, but rather vitamin B-12 and growth hormones.

SuperThrive has NO micronutrients. It's an NAA-B1 rooting hormone. If you have roots you have no need for ST. If you're using prepared nutes you have all the micro nutes you need. Note micronutrients are called that because more than micro amounts become toxic real quick.

Note also, there's no such thing as a "TDS" pen. TDS and PPM require chemical analysis. You have an EC pen that measures the ability of the water to conduct electricity, aka electrical conductivity, aka EC. It then lies about the answer by converting to babble. You can run a garden with it, just know what it is you're actually measuring and that the display is bogus until reconverted to EC.

if you give a mom plant ST before cutting, does it help the clones?

1 drop of Superthrive per gallon is plenty - 1 ml is alot...
