Bluekush I read it as the City of Redding voted to outlaw it in the City not Shasta County. Am I missing something? Thanks for posting no matter which. I don't think the county can overide the State law..some shit, I imagine, they'll try to do! DD

you are correct but redding is the county seat it is by far the largest city in the county about 100,000 or so people so what redding decides goes for the county for the most part but I'm not 100% sure the other town in the county are very small and towns like anderson are very aganist cannabis they have been trying to make nearly impossible to grow even with a med card with absurd regulations. hope that helps

BK welcome to IC by the way. I get my Med cert in Redding so I am familiar with the area, don't live there though. No doubt all of the state is in for the long haul with cities and counties alike trying to work thier magic. DD

I don't read it the way it's presented here in this thread. They've not made any kind of law or ordinance that I can see at this time. They're just deciding whether or not to agree or disagree with prop 19 if/or when it passes. Even if they've made a law against it, that county will receive no tax monies from 19. You can still have your personal amount of cannabis no matter what the county says. The only thing they can stop is your personal garden "maybe" and sales. If 19 passes, all the counties and cities that have taken a stance of this nature will just fuck themselves, they get nothing from the tax POT, no pun intended.

they are the ones that vote on it so if it 3-1 why wouldn't it be similar in nov
as far as I know the county can regulate it so they can tell you how much you can grow why can't they say you can have less than ounce. or if you get caught with it and you are not allowed to buy it in your county are they not gonna wonder where you got it I'm not sure what power the county can have so maybe jack the grower or vta will chime in they seem to be on top of good info.

You should read the line-by-line interpretation by NORML (the link is at the end of this post). The city can decide not to have sales, but they cannot stop you from growing or possessing. The limitation on possession is one ounce if you are carrying in public, but you can have whatever came out of your grow (or multiples of your grow) in your house. http://stash.norml.org/californias-prop-19-a-word-for-word-analysis
