weak smelling grass to grow

I have used a carbon filter in the past, but now I use an ozone generator, it kills any smell and helps protect the plant from infections or insects.

I run multiple carbon scrubbers and ozone.
Ozone simply kills any and all smells. It is unpleasant to breathe and bad for your health, but a neg pressure room going into an ozone filled room will be ideal.
Don't breathe it.
I want to spread the word about ozone after having tried it and been very impressed.
btw my ozone generator is rated at 3600 mg an hour, cap makes one that is 600. Mine is way overkill in a large basement, I generally run it for 30 mins on and 1-2 hours off or when i do laundry.

Also if you get a barebones kit from somewhere and a little fan to disperse and keep it cool you are looking at 100 dollars investment. And caps smaller probably equally efficient for your needs one is around that price also, maybe less depending on store.

Weak smelling grass?!?!?

That usually = crap weed IMO / IME!

The better it smells in veg and flowering,, the better is smokes,,!

If you smoke spliffs at the same location,, stop being ridiculous,, it smells of weed already man ..lol

Smoking in the growroom is the best way to rid your world of jinns!

I respectfully disagree.

See NL #5
(just to name one of them and probably the most famous one)

EDIT: Maybe not all NL #5 but the one I am talking about here (by Sensi Seeds)

We prefer Northern Lights and the NL crosses we made that smell,,, respectfully!

Agreed some varieties do smell less than others,, but those ones often smell stronger when harvested (ironically). Angel Dust and Amnesia grow with little smell until harvest.

If you're commercial growing,, then smell is a % of the risk involved! Wake up!

Otherwise who cares,, we grow weed for personal,, take it away we'll grow more 2morrow,, is the general vibe these sides ,, maybe lite some incense,, or another spliff ,, but dont get pranged,, that's what they want :D

If folks never lay scent to it,, how they gonna know what it smells like?

One love (but be mindful,, use those liquid gels that quosh smells if para on the subject).

Like you my O3 generator is overkill for the space. It's not good to breath the stuff, but it degrades very quickly, most of it is gone 20 minutes after you turn the generator off. If there's too much of it in the air, you always know because of the distinctive smell. I have it on for fifteen minutes out of every hour and it manages odours without any problem.

I think the tricky bit is working out how long to leave it on for at a time. For me it's a lot safer than a CF because it's much harder to work out when the CF stops working effectively.

I would recommend them to anyone.

lucky but pissed

earlier today when i came back from work early,(i live on an estate on a walk way)i saw a comunity officer with an under cover c.i.d. talking and waving thier hands by thier noses, indecating they could smell some thing and looking at a couple of my neabours doors trying to work out which flat it was coming from, the whole walk way was stinking up the place so it was hard to know where exacly, any way i shat my self thinking any minute im getting nicked, had to rip out my babies and totaly pack down my show(only had 2 weeks before i choped them down, pissed)wish i had 2 cf,i had:cry:uk cheese,2 different diesels,og#18&sour cream, the cheese and diesels where the problem.iv been doing it here for 5 years and no probs, until till i got them diesels & cheese.so any one wanting to do these , make sure you take proper precautions so you wont want to cry like i do now,but at least im free and aint been busted.might try ozone.
i hope you all have better luck than me,peace, mintz

damn, that'd normally cover it easily eh? cheers for the feedback, it's important for people to share info like this as it seems theres a fine line between effective and ...not..

mine runs oversized fan/can combo (the can is for 300m3 and the fan is more like 3000m3, it's an old one from a bigger grow which I keep running on like 10%) I also push air into the tent (1.2m) so the negative pressure isnt that great but noticable ...

were you getting decent neg pressure on yours mate? (tents sides sucked in)

Damn that sucks mintz but like you say at least you did'nt get busted.

This prob won't help you now but try using a dump fan in your room

if you can't fit it in there cos the room is too small you can still use it in the space you exhaust to , but if you are venting straight out to the open air i would have re-think and try to vent into another space where you can post filter it if pre-filtering is'nt an option .

The dump fan will also increase air circulation so you wont need as much oscilating fan action in there.

Also like you say you could try using ozone to pre or post deodorize .

The only other option would be to put a filter on both ends of your fan ,intake and out , like herbaliser was saying in another thread . But you will then have to consider that will be reducing the pressure of your fan so you might have to upgrade to bigger fan / filter etc.

so what happens to the heat in this model?

You still extract as normal mate and go thru a CF ,the dump fan acts as a pre -filter in the room and also moves air around the plant .Sorry for the simplistic MS paint pic LOL.

It's also good for taking the cooler air that is lower down and dumping it on top of the hotter stale air around the lamp. If it is set up right you should'nt even need an oscilating fan .

I've tried it with just a little 4" rvk and filter and it works OK .

sounds good mate, just wanted to get my head around it... how do you ensure the exhaust is running at a high enough output... just use a bigger/more powerful fan?
