Growing underground

All this talk about outdoor growing... has anyone tried growing in country but under the ground, like in a small container?

Seems a idiot proof method - no one can see whats under ground, the only problem is finding electricity!

one thing that always come to mind for me when I think about this is an old cistern, drop inside and clean it out

drill a hole through the cement so you could bring a line from the house to the cistern, id imagine you'd have to bury the electric lines but Im not positive on that

it would be nice to run a water line/drain there too so water wasnt a PITA to get there

drop a shed over top of your cistern entrance and get creative :D

I've been imagining a tunnel under my house into a big underground room for a while.. It's a big task.. I guess which is why I've never actually tried it. I wouldn't want anyone to know about it.. so no one could help me..

Someone needs to make a DIY thread on tunneling and making an underground grow room. :tiphat:

I've thought about this a good deal myself. Carving out a small grotto outside of a house either run off of the power from the house or some kind of generator or solar panel with a reserve battery. Also included in my idea was stealth vents and a stealth entrance. Even tho I have no feasible way of doing this anytime soon it sure seems like one surefire way to go. Obviously as long as you plan it all accordingly. Haha you guys almost make me think that MJ makes us psychically connected or something. STAY OUTTA MY HEAD!!!:wallbash:

I've always wanted to bury a couple of overseas shipping containers with maybe a coat of bedliner stuff on the outside. A couple days with a backhoe and some stealth PVC for utilities and venting..easy cheezy.

There is a video out there by this guy from BC that documents the growing effort in the region. They showed this underground grow that had gotten busted that was comprised of twelve railway cars burried under the ground. It sucks it was already shut down, though, it would have been nuts to see that up and running.

in my area, about 3-4 years ago, landscapers were doing work at one of the local colleges around me, when they found a whole bunch of power lines half buried at the top of the soil. they followed them and found two shipping container buried underground. they called the cops, who then went inside them and found a grow op that had been abandoned. one container was for flowering, the other for veg. it was pretty crazy because it was at a college in a real affluent area, which is pretty funny. whoever was running it, just left it there because they found a whole bunch of dead plants in all different stages of growth.
