hey people. finally got some good moms to keep and start running with. i am currently using lcs mix, with promix for my veg and flowering mixes. i was just wondering if i should use this for my mother plants also. i know this may be a stupid question, but was just wondering if there will be a problem with like the peat getting to acidic or anything. thanks a lot for any input.

read the sticky on the bonzoi moms. i think they used a soil mix that was nuetral,, you dont want the mums to grow to much. just maintain there size.:tiphat:

I use Pro-Mix for everything - moms, clones, seedlings, veg, flower - and control the feeding as necessary. Easy peasy.

simon, do you mix anything in your promix? i was using lcs mix, with the guanos, but i was having a whole bunch of issues, so i am going to try just going with straight promix and EWC. any input would be greatly appreciated.

No, nothing at all added. I use 3 ingredients for all grows: B'cuzz Pro-Mix (doesn't even need added Perlite), and Jack's Classic All-Purpose (veg) and Bloom (flower) fertilizers. That's it.

Veg fert - 1 teaspoon/1 gallon max ratio
Flower fert - 1.5 teaspoon per gallon max

I start feeding from the very first watering. 1/4 max ratio, doubling until max is reached. Flower, I start at 1 teaspoon/gallon at 2 weeks into the cycle, going up to max ratio at weeks 5-6, then coming back down. This is the base map, if you will. I never tweak the veg regimen, but as a given strain becomes more familiar, I usually tweak the flowering ferts to a higher concentration. Really, it's this simple. There's a mechanical precision to the process that works each and every time, barring environmental constraints. HTH
