I have no idea, but I would bend the plants away from the holes & wash them, then scrape the top of the soil away & cover them with several inches of good compost.

In your defense all most all corn (if not all) and soybean is round up ready. Believe it or not Monsanto owns the DNA/Genetics and if their corn pollinates your corn you can no longer plant the resulting seed because they will sue you.

So finding a field that isn’t round up ready is almost impossible but it is peculiar they did it so late. I was thinking crop duster but obviously not because you said "crushed plant".

On a side note was discussing this in another forum. Think about what will happen when/if MJ becomes legal all MJ seeds will be owned by Monsanto and it will be round up ready. If your crop is pollinated by theirs you loose hands down going on everyday with small farmers. Clones would be different but I doubt they will be used too labor intensive to plant clones all seeds will be fems the only way to run the MJ as an industrial enterprise. Legalization is a double-edged sword. Maybe not for personal use but as for making a living at it you and I will be pushed out.
PEACE

That would be a shame Ham.

If that happened then it would all be one big homogeneous strain (monoculture).

Then all nature needs to do is adapt a pest, bug or bacteria, and the whole line gets wiped.

Thanks big-agra.......
