i have noticed a lot of these this year on my plants......

they dont seem to do any damage? .......ive seen several different color schemes....they are goofy little critters always cruising around the stem avoiding eye contact.

Its a baby Mothra. Adult Mothras have been known to cause devastation to archipelagos in Asia. Research into biological controls has been minimal, and only one known organism has been found to be affective. Godzilla. Good luck, homie.

That was funny, Nomaad:laughing:
I here you can get Godzillas at Peacful Valley, but they are out right now.

hey thanks Herb :D

its been somewhat hectic around the house as of late. moms crashing out til monday. she had a nice bonding experience with the GF as they both went together to get scripts yesterday.

i think i finally figured out some of my indoor plant woes. it turns out you need a prefilter to filter out sediment with the merlin RO unit. i dont know why it took me questioning why my bulbs were getting frosty to realize that the humidifiers had been blasting my plants with whatever wasnt bein filtered. i should have just checked the damn ppm in the first place.

I will have pic updates tomorrow. i swear. slow coming on to flower or not, my indicas are in full bud mode.

dont worry everyone ill have a pic update on the garden real soon.

in the mean time, can anyone identify this weird moth type bug? it hangs out on the stem and will scurry around so that its always hidden from view. in other words, i move my head to get a better look at it and it moves to hide from view, always on the opposite side of the stem from where your head is. i call it the hiding bug. to even get the pic i had to scare it around with my hand.

I was going to guess spittle bug

shape seems right but color is off but bugs can change to blend in locally

it could be a spittle bug, maybe in the spittle bug family.

but the ninja bug (hiding bug whatever it is) in my garden has thinner legs and a noticeable hump. i like the bug whatever it is, it adds personality to my garden. i have these naughty moth like bugs that play hide and seek and shoot white puff balls like a ninja smoke bomb.

Wow Local thanks for sharing those pics. The garden looks amazing. That is interesting that those plants are already flowering. Nothing up here is flowering out yet, but none of the strains I have a really early strains. They do look amazing, sending good vibes to your garden bro.

TG- a week in, yeah that makes sense. would you think this is early? or is it something to do with bein more south?

Hey Local hero plants look great. I like the brewer also.

But your flowering should trigger a few weeks before your northern freinds plants. For example today in San Diego Sunrise is 4:58 and sets at 6:52 for a total of 13hours 54 min of daylight.

Today in Redding sunrise is at 5:00 and sets at 7:31 for a total of 14 hours 31 min of daylight.

That's a 37 min difference between the 2.

If you want to check your sunrise sunset time go here

I think it is right on time for more indica strains. The DOG is in full on pre flower mode and will be flowering by the end of the month. Perfect for a late september harvest...

Good stuff! Very jealous of your backyard. Probably exactly how I'd do an outdoor setup like that.

right on headiez! i think ill put more plants next time, trying to max out the space without them growing into each other is the challenge.

TG- hell yeah a september harvest sounds perfect. that DOG in your garden is lookin primo bro.

on a side note:

ive been seeing intermittent white, not spots but close, on some leaves. it didnt look like powdery mildew, but it looks close enough to freak me out. so i finally got my cheapo radio shack magnifier back today, and was able to check it out. thankfully its not pm.

it looks like residue of some kind, so im thinking maybe i didnt mix my foliar sprays of calcium and ascorbic acid well enough. that or maybe that weird ninja bug who spits out white powdery balls is fucking with me.

either way, relief.
