20/20 TV Show on a 10 year old boy I think he was with Autisum mother read Marco Renda of Treating Yourself's Mag #23 article of Joey's Journey another 10 year old boy using medical cannabis brownies to save this boys life and his mother tried to use tinture and it's working miracles for her. So good for you Marco for putting this info out there and helping this kid and his mom. peace out Headband707

Yeah I caught a bit of it. One of those boys really needed the help, but the other "unhealthy" (fat) kid was just a brat with a bad mother who wouldn't discipline.

I'm impressed with the first issue of TY that I found. Was surprised to see it at a B and N in Florida.

That segment had two kids, one was the kid with autism and one was the kid with OCD (unless there were two segments on last night... the old MTV interviewer was the 20/20 intervier) The kid with OCD was just accustomed to running over his mom and yelling.

The autism kid was pretty reserved, right?

Okay well the show I saw last night was about two boys with autium both 10 and both taking medical marijuana. Mieko's was Joey's mom and he was dying of Anorexia and was given cannabis brownies which saved his life and took him off 16 bottles of pills that the doctors were kind enough to prescribe him.The other on 20/20 was another boy with extreme autisum and the mom was using tinture to control his mood swings. Kids with OCD have a very hard time until they are helped peace out Headband707

10 year olds eating cannabrownies? Seems kinda crazy..

Yeah this is the BIG misconception about cannabis and how it helps . There are over 400 cannanoids in cannabis that have not been tested by the USA/Canada and cooking cannabis converts THC into Delta 9 which is another science they have yet to explore. So it's only crazy to the doctors that are willing to give a child 16 different meds instead and still have no success. Yet find a brownies saves his life by bringing back his appitite and helping him interact . This is no surprise to us as pot smokers. I suggest reading the article and then getting back to me .. peace out Headband707

this story is actually good for pot advocates. surprising to hear something on 20/20 that actually supports mmj.

Imagine having thc ocd. picking each gland off one at a time under a micro scope with tweezers for hours just to get a hit. you have a pile of amber ones and a pile of cloudy ones. lol

Agreed I too was surprised and happy to see 20/20 do the story.. I expected it from Marco of TY Mag .. and it was a great story about that boy and proof the medical professionals don't know what they are doing here.. I was in and out of the room when the show was on and didn't hear the OCD prognosis and assumed that was autisum. peace out Headband707

Yeah this boy was starving himself and not intreacting with others. The mom was at the end of her rope and didn't know what to do so she decided to try this as a last resort. At 10 Joey only weighed 46lbs and he was dying. After she gave him the brownies he gained 40lbs and now has started to play with his siblings which he didn't do before. He looks much better and happier peace out Headband707

The first part of the 20/20 episode was on some chubby 12 or 13 year old who had OCD. The video didnt show any classic OCD symptoms unless you count screaming, throwing tantrums, and crying for no apparent reason as OCD.

Maybe the producers edited out all the OCD behavior because to me it looked like that kid just needed a good smack, thats all.

But Tubby had it Hooked Up, yo. Because of his 'OCD', he got pulled out of school and i s*it you not spends his days playing xbox with an 'aide' (some dude in his 20's).

So basically he takes marijuana all day and plays video games. If he's faking it, then he's a f*cking genius. He's also setting himself up to be a loser and a leach for the rest of his life, but that's besides the point.

Well, I did qualify my post by saying that maybe 20/20 did a hatchet job and only aired footage that made it seem like that kid was a spoiled brat. I don't put it past them; I don't know if ABC News is more left or right leaning or whether the producers saw something that made them think the kid was faking it.
In the video I saw not one sign of either obsessive behavior or compulsive behavior. I did see a lot of tantrums, supposedly brought on by his frustrations with his disorder.
If 20/20 filmed a lot of classic OCD behavior from this kid, and they purposely didnt show it, then I think that mom almost has a lawsuit on her hands, because 20/20 made her and her son look almost scandalous.

What channels do you watch??? I see undisciplined kids who need real discipline on tv all the time....and in real life...alot of them have "diagnosis" that are just excuses...
