hey guys, just wanna see which one yall like better. they r both a big hit around here. going back to soil growing this next upcomming round and wanna know what you think is best? gonna be using general organics line.
you think going with bagged soil, making a super soil mix, or going bail of promix, biobizz pre-mix, and bag of wormcastings?? which one sounds best? all dif. strains, only 12-16 4 gal pots...nothin major, so its not like I need volume.

wanna see what u guys think. thanks!!

Ive used everyone except the roots organic and the short anwser is which ever is available cheapest locally. They all work well, I personally use OF which I amend with budswell. extra perlite, and some lime.

I use a mix of ffof with sunshine #4 and alittle extra perlite. The sunshine just makes the ffof go alittle further. I've had great results.

yeah whatever you go with use more perlite or similar for air, and lime

also if you want to do better add EWC / compost , rock dusts

I tell everyone to mix their soil. It's wayyy cheaper and you'll avoid the certain thrips that accompany bagged soil. 50% peat 30% perlite (largest chunk size you can find) and 20% ewc or good compost. Mix that with an ounce or tbls of dolomite lime per gallon and you're all set.

Anything but FFOF imo..

You don't have any Sun Gro products on your list, so i can't really vote with my heart..

Sunshine growers Natural and Organic beats FFOF and Promix hands down, from my exp.

Any premade soil I would cut with extra perlite and earth worm castings, and add rock dusts, et al.

I use FFOF with no problems.. I WOULD take others advice tho if you decide to take that route & buy a bale of #4 to mix with the FFOF.. add a little extra perlite to the mix OR just use 1/4 bottom layer of perlite and you'll be peachy!.. a bit of dolmite lime for extra PH control and even some casings for extra vigorous plants ;)

I wish I would of did that the first go around.. would of saved me $25 a bag lol

Ive used sunshine and its ok too, but I have been using FFOF for over 10 years and it is the best, most consistent comercially available mix your gonna find.

im in the east and ffof sucks over here. its mixed in sc now and honestly i think its a huge ripoff. im convinced its worse than west coast stuff. im all about mixing your own now. ive started with peat based. its much cheaper.
