Northern Colorado Growers Unite!

Loveland city council has asked cgs to ban together for the purpose of regulation in the town. I am taking the lead to unite us. I have already started recruting folks. In november the city will be voting on regs and we need to be heard.

They are saying cgs cannot grow in more that 25% of their home and they must live on the property etc. I have kids and I will not grow here in my house. There are others but so many to keep track of.

Interesting... So they want your input on how to better fuck you? Sans reach around.

I will be posting the issues within the next week I have a meeting with council. You have to sign up to get on the forums otherwise they are not viewable. I am using my site as a launching pad for the group,if it goes well I will start a seperate one. We are in need up here and this what I came up with for now. My idea was originally to give cgs a place to congregate and be heard that's why Delta-Med Caregivers came about a group of growers going in the same direction under one roof. But with the new laws it has become challenging to say the least

Hmm, I have to admit I'm VERY skeptical. So far Larimer has proved fairly untrustworthy. Specific cities w/in Larimer have taken that to an even more unacceptable level. At least from a CG standpoint I see no real reason to work WITH them. Been there, done that, found they misused information and put people/businesses at risk. The state has taken the lead and cities like Loveland are clearly "anti" so no real reason in my book to provide them with more information. Many of us have repeatedly informed them (reps, code officers, other local leaders etc>) individually and as decision making bodies with no positive, rational effect. I even had code officers tell me recently that sub-5 patient CGs have no legal right in Larimer to grow in their own home! They don't seem to know what they are talking about and they don't seem receptive to input. Since they have no legal access to CG's I see no reason to give them any access. As it is, they have NO regulatory authority over State defined 5 patient "caregivers." How do they justify a push for local "regulation" when the have no authority and really it only amounts to "information harvesting??" (BTW, this is a real rather than rhetorical question)

My 2cents as a CG although I do wish NOCO med-cann businesses the best of luck influencing some rational thought in Larimer!

Actually Hok we are a Home Rule city, which means we do what we want, if you will. So I do agree with what you are saying wholeheartedly, however after these past few years of back and forth between local and state legislations I am convinced, constitutional right or not this state is going to do some stuff in the name of cannabis as well as cities. So either we start trying over diligently working with them and educating them or we give up and go back underground. I for one am not willing to grow illegally in my city. Larimer is one thing and Loveland is another, have you seen any of the most recent city council meetings? They are actually listening here and they are asking us to help them. They showed this buy not just outright banning centers here and letting folks vote and they could have tried to implement the cg stuff right then, but they did not. We have an open door here and I will not let it slam in my face with trying to hold it open a little. They see this as something that is not going away entirely, so like us either they work or they will have a mutiny on their hands and more illegal operations happening which they want less of.

hahahahahaha I wish it could be looked at like that. The state are given the ability to break up our rights and disperse them as they want but we can't to benefit ourselves as a form of saving grace.HTF did that work like that.....hahaha?

Ref; the 'residency' question. I know a bunch of retirees who maintain two homes, most have one in the South, and one up here for the summer. I myself have two 'residences', both here in Colorado. So I move twice a year.

By the way encourage everyone who is resident in Colo. to vote in this election. You can register to vote on the same day as you vote now..... so no excuse not to vote.

I say this directly to all the peeps who have moved to Colorado in response to A64. Vote your position, but be careful who/what you vote for! Your vote counts.

Good luck with that one...will be like Greeley and Garden City...Greeley saying No. De ja' vu????

Pueblo West wanted a recreational lounge...a BYO lounge....council nixed it. Be patient....or when all else fails....move to more progressive area of CO.

Best o' luck, persistence.
