Hey all.

Just wanted to know your opinions, i was having some heat issues ( A/C blew up) and i think it may have caused some stress in one of my plants, it is 98% cloudy trichs with no amber that i can see as of yet, although about 75% of hairs have turned orange. When i checked them this morning i noticed a couple male flowers coming directly out of the buds, my guess would be heat stress but who knows. I have 1 other plant in the cabinet with it which has quite a few weeks to go, Should i harvest said 'nanner poppin sum b*tch

Pull off the nanners and wait till full maturity would be my vote
Make sure you watch VERY carefully though, you must get every last one of those guys :D

I'd do like clp, and make sure the fans are off, or at least turned down and aimed lower.

At 98% swollen and cloudy it seems ready. CLP what marker do you use to harvest?

Amber trichromes are overripe trichromes. The only reason to use 5% or 10% amber as a metric is to insure 90% to 95% are couldy. Of course amber trichromes are linked to couchlock so if thats your goal let em go otherwise take them down.

Add in the herm and I would chop them sooner rather than later.

Doesn't matter what you do. It's to late for them to pollinate and produce seeds.

Not true.... it may be too late for fully mature seeds to show up.... but do not underestimate a couple of male flowers around your buds. Most likely you'd end up with hundreds of tiny underdeveloped white seeds.

Agreed but with one exception. Ive found most nanners thrown this late in the cycle are sterile ie no viable pollen but I wouldnt wait around a week to test this.

Could be within 7-10 days for this to happen. That would ruin all your hard work. To be safe I cut the whole bud "site", that is the small bud that makes up the whole bud itself. Hope that makes sense. Also, I may have missed it, you did not say how long you have been flowering? 98% cloudy and 75% sounds like you are in about week six or so (guessing you are growing a standard hybrid), although heat could induce these percentages as well. Pictures would be cool. Good luck.

You have time if you want them to go longer. It takes a while for seeds to form. But you still have at least 2 weeks. But keep in mind that pollen on any bud site will pretty much stop producing smokable product and put its energy into making seeds.
