What is a good strain for a first timer? I was thinking in no particular order...

AURORA INDICA
Orange bud
Hindu kush
Chronic
And lowrider

I know lowrider is proably the easiest but I want good smoke and good yield and to get mediocre results from an autoflower is jus not worth it IMO. It's an indoor grow btw

I think bag seed is a good strain for a first timer...or something cheap.

Unless you're already quite familiar with growing plants from seed.

NL is a good beginner strain that performs well with not much smell to deal with ... if that is an issue.

Bag seed? Care to elaborate

If you don't know what bag seed is, you aren't ready to spend money on name-brand genetics.

Spend a few more weeks/months reading the stickies and the threads with lots of views. Read them carefully, post for post, all the way through. Most of your questions (and many questions you didn't know you'd have) will be asked and answered again and again and again and after a few months of reading and taking notes, you will have stronger opinions on how you want to do things.

Easiest way to learn new terminology that you don't know is to type the term into Google, btw.

Hmmmm just cos he dont know what bagseed is makes a differance how? i havent had a seed in a bag of weed for 15 year. Guess it all depends on the grade gear u get :p

lowryder has very low potency, orange bud is not what it used to be.

aurora indica might be a good choice, or some skunk or similar. just spend like $20 on a pack for your first grow rather than $100 and remember that by feeding the plant too much too soon you will more than likely kill it.

good luck

Hey new grower...have you smoked indicas before? If not, then you'll find in the end that they don't get you high. If you have, then please pardon me! Just a warning...research the indica and sativa.

personally i'd got for the hindu kush, but aurora (nl) can be good too, had a very nice pheno many years ago, but have also had a few boring phenos of nl. personally i'd say do the research before you do each step and you'll be fine. in the end spending 3 or 4 months on some unknown bag seed is not the wisest choice imo. specially if you have a basic idea of what is involved in growing plants, or if you are willing to read up enough. even if you make a few mistakes at least with decent genetics you will have some thing worth while at the end, while with bag seed it's a lottery as you have no idea where th male pollen came from, even if the female is a good smoke, the male could be some industrial hemp strain whose pollen is blown in on the wind.

If you have the money go with DJ Short, B.O.G., Rez, Dutchgrown's Oger99, they grow so easy and diggity dank for sure.
NL is one of the easiest to grow. Sensi Seed White Label Afghani Kush is too easy. Just no scent, yet it's a knock out puff.
Dr Atomic's Haze and NL grow themselves with little care. I threw about 30 clones out in the forest 2yrs ago, came back harvest time with only 2 visits in between and went home with a few pounds of dank for very little effort. At home in my EF tables DrA was the easiet smoke to grow.

Hindu kush

Hey G, that was my choice. A good 20.00 strain from Nirvana.

My first Dutch strain was Master Kush and Orange bud from Positronics.

Any 100% indica is good also. A good skunk is easy to grow. SK! is always nice and easy.

Good luck.

Chronic

Chronic

I grew chronic on one of my first grows and its still one of my favorites. Easy, good yield ,good quality and taste. They have some Ed Wood Chronic listed for the server fund every now and then. Thats very resonable. Grab some of them if they list them again.
