my 2 plants are doin ok but in the first week of flowering they stretched bad, like 2' i cut off the two branches that stretched and started to bend some of the others down and tie them off. i had to stop giving nutes for a week because some leaves were showing signs of nute burn. the last three waterings have been with 6.5 ph water. today i read about takin off them big fan leaves at the top, and after reading a whole bunch on it i cut them, all the fan leaves from top to about middle. i was shoked at how much light got to the bottom of the 2 girls. i think the buds are going to like the light down there. there ugly but healthy i think. there in my albam

If your leaves are stretching, you need to do something about it. Are they stretching to find light? If so, maybe you need to fix that.

And I would never stop giving nutes. I would flush and then start adding in the nutes again, but at a lower dose. Usually, the bottle is wrong. Always use about 25% less than the bottle says. That way, you avoid nute burn for certain.

if you still get nute burn, you probably are using nutes too often. Some strains only need to be fed every other day.

Yeah, I think you're onto something with your light. Normally, I've had the lower leaves begin to die off, rather than get bigger than other leaves. Sounds like your grow room needs some work, my friend.

I used to think that removing fan leaves was a good idea too, until I heard from a reliable source that it is actually a myth. Having done this I can tell you that your lower buds will obviously receive more light, but the flower site at where you cut the leaf will be stunted. If your cutting off the fan leaves, which are essentially the lungs of the plant, to stunt it because you have height restrictions, then that makes a little more sense. But I would still recommend topping, training, supercropping, or "FIM"-ing over cutting the newest fan leaves off. Anyone else have any input on this?

well there not the newest leaves, there big and been around awhile. fan leaves are in a different spot then the flowers, fan leaves have nothing to do with the bud site, i dont know
