I found it impossible to order this tray top. I was bummed.

You just gotta hound em to order you one. They are still an orderable product. Any shop that deals with Hydrofarm should be able to order one.

note - pic shows the net-well insert, but the SKU in above link is actually the 1.5" gro-well insert that I used.

should have put trellis on this one as they were falling all over the place..not from their base, but simply too tall and stretched out. A future grow w/ cuts flipped immediately might not need support at all. The root mat that forms below the lid anchors the plants in just fine.

I had a spare rooting tray laying around that fit perfectly in my Megagarden. I filled it with Growcubes. With cuts, it created an interconnected mat once roots started poking out in a couple of weeks. I am surprised more people haven't looked into this method.

why would the hydro store be bummed. I used hydroton and always reused it, never had to get more. And hydro stores do not make much on medium such as hydroton and soil due to shipping costs.


The tray looks like a good idea. Shouldn't be that hard to DIY one if you cant order
