I have a cut of JH that's a real killer, but I have problems getting her to flower properly. Vegging goes normal then they start going yellow after flipping.

The 1st pic is a plant that has been 12/12 for 7 weeks

Next plant is at 5weeks

Most other strains flower better, the Indica dom's go good, the Sative dom's tend to struggle like this...any help would be appreciated

SOIL: Pretty close to LC's Mix, SunShine #4 (8 gals) with Perlite (2 gals) , EWC (1 gal), Vermiblend (1gal)....10 TBLS Dolomite Lime, 24 TBLS Dry Fert Mix

4 TBLS Epsom Salt, 2 TBLS Dio. Earth, 1/8th of a Mosquito Dunk....Mixed well with 2 gals of water. I try to let it incubate for 2weeks, but I often dig in early.

What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?) Both
What is the age of your plants? I have some in veg waiting for a plan to improve flowering, 1 thats 5 wks into flower, and 1 thats 7 wks flower
How long have they been in the soil mixture they are in now? I've been in this mix for a while now
Were they in the same mixture when they were seedlings/smaller plant? If not, what mixture were they in before? same

What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc) VertSCROG

How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? about 1/3rd strenght on the EJ*Knowing the brand is very helpful*

If flowering, when did you switch over to using Bloom nutrients? Eased over into flower ferts during the 1st 2 weeks of 12/12
What order are you mixing your nutrients? (example: veg nutes 1st, bloom 2nd ect) Bubbling ACT's for 24-36 hrs
What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used? I've noted these measurements for the last couple of batches of tea. Flower 1550ec/1125tds/adj.to 6.4
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"? 6.8
How often are you testing pH/ppm/EC/TDS? Often
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen? Myron L Ultrameter II, 6P
How often are you watering? When the pots get light, or I see wilting...
When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding?2 days ago, about twice weekly

Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist? no
Is your water HARD or SOFT? Bubbled city water is very hard
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? ? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? 50/50 RO/CityBottled
If using tap water, what is the ppm/EC/TDS of the water right out of the tap?(Only if you have a tds pen)
If using RO,Distilled, mineral water, what is the ppm/EC/TDS without any additives?(Only if you have a tds pen) tds is about 150 - 170
Are you using water from a water softener?
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched? no
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when? Sprayed with SucreShield 2 wks ago, added LadyBugs

Leaf damage

Healthy vegger, this one's ready to flip, but I need a plan for improvement

27 days flower, sometimes the suffering stsrts earlier than this shows

The plants below have been grown in the same circumstances as the Jack's that are ailing.

if a little more nutes and some nitrogen don't help right away I think IMHO you may a a cal-mag def. here.
A little cal mag and you should be fine.
Jack, chem d and a few other strains need a bit more nitrogen and and need it deeper into flower than most other strains.
cal mag def's show up in weeks 4-6 usually.

I think I know what's going on. The Jack keeps stretching more than the indicas during early flowering, so it needs more water and nutrients. 3' tall plants in 3 gallon pots can use up the water/nutrients in no time. You have quite a bit of perlite in there, so the mix dries even faster. Waiting 'till "When the pots get light, or I see wilting..." may be too long. More frequent watering/nutrients seems to me like the answer.

from what i know about jacks is they are nutrient sensitive they dont need alot and will overfert easily. also they yellow pretty early but not to this extent

wrong...to much light during veg.= stretching, you'll have longer gaps between nodes.

I put my bitches outside in the blazing summer sun for 12 on, and they love it! During flowering to my expereince they want as much light as possible... HOT AND DRY.

Their yellowing because their using chlorophyll to feed themselves, because thier starving.

From my experience, they won't reverse the changing colors but, they will sustain their health.

...This is my opinion, I'm in no way dictating.
