Potting up question.

I've got some week old seedlings in 3" pots but will eventually finish in 11l pots.

Is 3" > 6L > 11L ok or should there be a pot size between the 3" and 6L?

i'd say it doesn't really matter at all mate, if you put them straight into the 6L after they're big enough then they'll just take off with less restriction on soil volume to grow in, more soil, more nutes, more space = faster growing plants :D if you've got the space wouldn't matter if you put them in 50L pots. :D wish i had the space to do the same hehe

Thanks for the reply darwinsbulldog mate. I wish I had the space too, but unfortunatley I've only got a DR120, so am planning 6 x 11L in that space.

sweet mate, sounds like they'll have plenty of space to get rather quite large then :D hope to see a thread up and running with the results when it's up and running! all the best mate

Cheers mate, I'll have to get a decent digital camera first :)

I'm using some of the free beans I got with my last Attitude offer, I'm doing

Feminised seeds of
1 x Warlock
1 x Sensi Star
1 x Cole Train
1 x Sour Cream

and 2 x SLH Clones

I'll be LST/tying them all, which I've never done before, so It's going to be quite a challenge :)

re: LSTing suss out my micro thread in my signature below as i did that to one plant and it turned out great. you don't have to do much, just use string to pull the top of it to the side once it's about 1/2 a foot high or more.

Thanks for the link mate it's very useful. I like a bit of White Widow myself and those plants look fantastic.

Should I top them at 4 nodes? Also should I start the LST of the other branches when they are in 6L or 11L pots?

if you're lsting you probably don't need to top as all the shoots along the stem will grow up and out. but yeah if you want to 4-5 nodes should be sweet, and then again once those next branches get to 4-5 nodes. doesn't really matter when you do it, as long as the plant can handle it. definitely top with around 2 weeks or so to go before you'll flower so that the new shoots can grow sufficiently before they flower or you won't get as big a yield.
