Dutch Master nutrients anyone???

Hey, I'll be starting another grow
3D Smiles (84).jpg
....finally. within a month at the latest. Starting to get supplies together. I'll be doing hydro, either bubble buckets or NFT in my 16 site grow table, but not sure yet which way I'll go.

anyways...I'll probably be doing like a week or so of 24/0 just to get the roots established, then 12/12 pretty much right away. I might just do 12/12 from seed. I was trying to decide between what nutes to use. I have used GH and AN 3 part for past grows. Was thinking of trying out Dutch Master GOLD 2 part this time. I was just wondering how many of you guys have used the GOLD 2 part formula? They have it for about $10/litre so would be $20 for Gold Flower A+B, probably wouldn't even bother getting the Gold Grow A+B since i'll hardly be doing a veg cycle.

otherwise, both GH and AN are ~$10/liter, but would need micro, grow, bloom so basically I'm paying $10 more.

Mainly though I just wanted to see if anyone has used that Dutch Master Gold and do you like it? For this grow, probably won't get any of their other addatives, although, might try and get some liquid light but don't know cuz its $50/liter

Also, If you do use, what do you suggest for nutrient strength. Their nutrient calculator seems to be a little high. I was thinkig of starting with maybe half of what they are suggesting.

Honestly. I haven't used any other Dutch Master product besides the Penetrator which I must say is Amazing. I started using it few years back and IF I foilar feed which I layed off doing so unless I have to. I won't foilar without it for sure though. Plants absolutely enjoy it and def don't burn. You could spray with lights on no problem even though I Still wouldn't suggest doing that anyway. Just to be safe. But other than that. That's my only experience with DM products. Just thought I should share. :). Hey if it helps anyone great. If not. I'm a victim lol

Never used DMG myself but fwiw you don't need the Grow in GH's Flora line, just the Micro and Bloom...

I used it here

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=163201

Used the two part with common aditives between the Nova and DM

And using it here

Using the DM Gold Twp art here with other non DM additives. I also used the DM Saturator/Liquid Light BUT really I don't think those two made any difference.

Really I didn't expect any miracles and it worked just like all the other nutrients. In my opinion the environment being dialed in will make the most difference. Also a huge part of it is the strain. Some strains just produce better then others. Also I don't like to grow more then 9 weeks for the whole crop so someone who grows longer them me will get a bigger yield out of the same plant.

I skimmed through both of those journals, looks like you didn't do much of a veg period in that first one. so for the DM Gold did you just use the flower A+B or did you use the Grow A+B for the first few days of veg you had? and did you follow the DM nutrient calculator (which seems to be a bit on the strong side) or did you use your own schedual?

I always used a weaker nutrient strength than AN suggested.

nice grow and setup BTW. I don't care what the marketability of OG Kush is, that will always be one my favorite strains.

Yeah, I've used DM penatrator before (not the gold though) guess its called saturater now. I used it with Humboldt Countys Own Purple Maxx. I opted to only foliar feed with purple maxx since I do hydro and on the bottle it says don't use purple maxx with an airstone :dunno:. But I wasn't about to pull out my airstone and deprive my ladies roots of oxygen to use an addative.

I vegged for a bout 4 days on the last one and ran teh DM Gold Grow about two feedings into the flower also did the same with the Nova.

No I just set the PPM of the veg/bloom food to a certain ppm and then top it up with other additives. So if I want to be a 900ppm and I know the additives will be aprox 300ppm when added I add 600ppm of food first then add the additives which then totals 900ppm +/-

I always used a weaker nutrient strength than AN suggested.

Never follow the exact feed schedule a manufacturer uses. They are maximized for profit and they don't account for your water situation/quality or plant strain.. I'm on the side of less proper products then more of 20 products.

The last grow the OG was far superior to any plant I've grown before. I already got backorders for it from the people I gave it to last time.

My experience is that dutch master nutrients are extremely watered down and arent quite as complete as I would like.

Day 35ish.

C99 BX1 in RDWC.

Full DM lineup(A+B, Silica, Zone, ADD .27), full strength (~1500ppm) just recently got a slight tip burn, other than that, they looked fantastic through veg and bloom.

pH is stable as hell.

I use potash plus, I do believe they are a bit watered down but still great products.

To use the DM Gold line up properly you have to have Gold Bloom A, Gold Bloom B, Max Flower or Add.27 Flower, and silica. They are too closely intergrated not to use all 4.

For veg I dont use DM. I just use name brand A and B of whatever is on sale. The DM Gold Veg is just too much for the plants to take that early.

I've been using DM Gold Grow A&B for veg a few years now, and I like how it makes my babies look nice and lush. Along with the DM Gold Grow, I also add Zone, H2O2, and MM2000 to my reservoir and adjust the PH accordingly. In addition, I foliar spray with Magic Green twice a week from House and Garden.

I'd only use them in a r/dwc or aeroponic setup due to cost; other systems don't need nutes as clean and stable so the cost/benefit isn't the same as they are pretty watered down.... however if you add mostly a p/k booster during mid/late flowering u can get away without using much of the base nutes.. just remember to keep the ppms in check

Cool.. I ended up going with Aurora Innovations - soul synthetic line. its a hybrid organic/synthetic nutrient. Got in on there "sample program" For next to nothing getting their full line up (minus the Nitrogen booster) full quart bottles of their whole lineup 6 outta 7 nutrients/addatives.

Gonna try this out. Will have 2 bubble buckets under 400w MH/HPS lamp growing in a 4x4x7 ft hydro hut...growing Nirvana's Blackberry.

The DM website has a Nutrient Calculator. You fill in the bubbles with your grow method and it converts to a weekly feeding schedule. In the beginnning the amount is very small, then progressively more as the plants grow.

i actually did some of the math and per ml dutch master is a lot more affordable than i first thought

been running the gold line; i like the 2 part grow and flower; no need to have that much n in the base mix late in flower
