Blu-Ray

Can some of you who have a Blu-Ray setup tell me.. is it really worth it? I mean is it really that good? is it really that awesome and all the rest?

I have nice LCD 42" full HD,100mhz set. I am considering getting a logitech z-5500 for the sound, and then the blu-ray equip.

Would love some feedback..

We have a PS3 (BluRay), and OMFG the BluRay movies look incredible on our 40" 1080p 120hz tv. Use the hdmi hookup, and even your regular movies look amazing. But the full BluRay movies (if they are good movies) will give you goosebumps.

Yeah, it looks great. But worth it? That's up to you. Why not go to an electronics retailer and have them show you the difference and decide for yourself.

Why did you just repost what another user posted? Like, exactly the same thing? Oooh, and to stay on topic. Blu Ray is awesome. I also own a ps3, hooked up with an hdmi cable on a 50inch plasma screen. It will give you goosebumps.

i also own a ps3 and have it hooked up to my 46 inch 1080p tv and av receiver system and it blows the fucking doors off lol
with a decent movie it is unbeleavable, i would defo recomend blue ray, but defo get a ps3 as said before you also get a kick ass game unit and one of the best blue ray players availible.!
also the blueray player upscales dvd to 5x the dvd quality!

Some releases are not that good. Like my fave movie of all times, "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly". I got the BR, It's better than the DVD, but not much, and the DVD release ain't very good to begin with.. With older movies u should read a review before buying, imo, just to avoid dissapointments, like i had with GBU.

But yea, ain't nothing wrong with bluray the system.
Now, if they would just make (new) movies worth watching...

Blu ray with 1080p 120mhz tv nothing like it imo ....even better if u have a nice surround sound setup like myself movies come to life in blueray i would rate 4x better then a DVD on the same setup when it comes to picture and sound.... some shots are so clear u see ppls scars that are hidden from makeup and acne also lol

Yes a BluRay is worth it, the only problem is the lack of movies available. ALice in Wonderland now that was mindblowing!

BTW 50" Plasma Panasonic 600 Hz TV Sony blu ray player xbox 360 250gb hdd I love it!
