Hey everyone hows it going? I need some help with my Disserella by Dutchgrown and my Menta Floss by Chimera. They are about three weeks old, they are in FF happy frog soil. They have only been fed twice at 25% so i am pretty sure whatever the prob is it is not over fert. They are under 1000w MH and temps are around 82. I am using a Hesi complete soil nutrient system. I have just recently in the ast few days startd using cal mag in my waterings. Now on to the problem, it seems to be effecting only the bottom of the plant. Leaves are starting to yellow from the outside in then they die off. check out the pics., Im assuming its a defic. of some king. Any insight as to what this problem is or how to fix it would be great. Thanks for your help in advance! i really dont want to lose these, hope to get a nice Mother from each of these strains! happy growing:)

Happyfrog has all the nutes your little plants need for 30 days, I'd just hold off on any nutes at all and just give water for aother 10 days or so. If you've already fed twice, even at 25% it could cause a slight burn because the soil already being pretty well set.

I would agree with you but i staryed feeding bc the plants were starting to look like ths with the leaves starting to brown. I thoufht feeding them might help, but iy did not have any ous or neg effects that i can tell. thanks for trying though Moonie, much apperciated! also in my past experice over fert effects the whole plant, not just bootom leaves. hope somone can tell me whats wrong with my babies! Thanks again!

Overfert for sure, and from the look of the mix, overwatered as well. Those plants are still small for the pots and haven't finished exploring the mix with their roots. They might have been able to tolerate that 'hot' a mix if you'd given some time between the first watering and subsequent ones, but it looks like you followed up with more waterings and caused a soggy 'beer' and drop of PH. Best thing would be to repot into smaller containers with a fresh mix. Maybe a better draining one with more sand, gravel, crushed lava, pumice, etc. That way, you won't be able to overwater as easily.

if you wait another 2-3 weeks, the whole plant WILL look like that.

follow the above advice,...........you over fertilized them

Yeah bro, That's totally salt-buildup. You don't necessarily need to transplant them. They can be salvaged if you leach or flush the soil. You didn't cause this all by one feeding. Most likely, it was caused by little bits of fertilizer that built up after feeding a couple times. In the future make sure you have LOTS of run off every watering to flush unused salts away.

Some people get confused when they hear over fertilizing, because they assume it happened all in one feeding. I like to say salt-buildup because then it sounds like it happened over a few feedings. Over fert and salt-buildup are synonymous, everyone above was 100% correct. Really, in any grow buildup is very common, most people learn to expect (or prevent) it. I just thought I'd chime. I hope I helped

pushlimits has a point, maybe try flushing first. Unless you're careful, it will be hard to dig up the roots without shocking the plants.
