Why aren't these strains available any more? I had the HS and HSxISS for a while and lost them. I saw the HSxCTS and HSxCotton Candy and those were very nice too. The HSxISS was a large yield for a mostly sativa, and have a very potent head high, with great flavor. Somewhat spicy/sandalwood like a haze but more Hawaiian. It was around the SE usa known as Hawaiian since 2003. The pure HS was just like a nug in one of the cannabibles and was what I saw a lot of on Big Island on the south side. I would to know if those HS genetics that Federation had are still around anywhere, or if it is extinct.

I have a pack of the Hawaiian Sativa. So; these are the real deal then?

If they are Federation Seeds, then they are likely legit.I heard a report here somewhere that the seed produced by Federation after their bust differed from the "pre-bust" seeds, and as I recall they had a little more indica effects. Can't remember for sure,so don't hold me to it.

The pure HS had a few phenos possible. The one that showed up the most was a spicy candied lemon hash flavor that was like a tropical haze. There were piña colada, and a banana liquor phenos that I saw too. This had a real deal head high.
The HSxISS had the spicy skunkiness of the ISS with the tropical haziness thrown on top. It kept the large yield and shorter flowering period of the ISS but frosted over, and elongated the buds something nice. It rooted in as little as 3-5 days, took about 66 days to finish, and if topped twice to 4 tops when young, it would yield 4x .5-.75oz colas per plant with 16 plants under a 1kw. It was also fairly easy to trim. The strain repeatedly produced clear dome full melt hash. It wasn't as much a sativa head high as the pure HS but it reminded me of a NL#5xHaze, La Niña, or Kali Mist as far as the stone. A lot of head high with a little body buzz thrown in.

Afgooey would be a great mate for the pure HS! Make sure to make some inbred seeds for safekeeping. I would also suggest getting some indica males like Deep Chunk, PTK, X18 and letting those knock up a HS. It'll be like super spicy juicy fruit :) If you're in cali, get some Alaskan ThunderFuck and cross a HS on that....it would be like a tropical cedar chest that would yield giant super frosty colas. Good Luck to ya!!

i grew HS a few years back and boy do i wish she was still around!
lemon soaring goodness.
i'd recommend these to anyone who can get a pack, or 3.

I had 2 mother plants of Hawaiian Sativa that I intensely selected out of 10 packs in 1998......kept them for about 7 years.

The first mother was very spicy with copious hints of cinnamon and a dash of lemon.....Mmmmmmm. Super kind, cerebral and soaring with gentle waves of euphoria.....no body whatsoever, just googley-red eyes.

The second mother was sweet and tangy, citrus, lemonade.....extremely refreshing. Quite a bit more potent than the first mother, but extremely lucid.....you would have to stop and think to yourself, "Did I even get a buzz from that?", crack a smile, "Whew! I Did!". The effects reminded me a lot of DJ's Flo.....this pheno was perfect for "the working man".....very motivational and functional.

I wish these genetics were still available, as I consider them some of the best that were/are commercially available of all time.

Come on people, make lots of seeds, because it would be a shame for this strain to become extinct.

Be good.

About two years ago, i did a cross between Fed's hawaiian sativa and Molokia Frost which is another sativa from the island that a few people have, i gave a bunch beans to a member who gifted them out. I've seen them listed in peoples bean collections but no grows. I still have beans of both so this winter i'll do another grow and send beans in for the server fund.

That second one was the pheno I had. It was one of my favorite strains of all time. A little bit of Sweetleaf when she was flowering made the flavor 10x better and stronger.

I'm going to have to move the HS to the front burner sounds like! I don't have Afgooey, I have the pure Gooey mom and let me say she lives up to the name! I have some original Deep Chunk beans and I also have a killer male Purple Pakistan x Uzbekistan along with some Blackberry Kush beans. Lot's of options with the SH. Don't live in Cali but just up the coast a bit, but I would be one mighty happy camper if I had MTF in my hands!
