long story short, i have a old phone that i took the sim card out of and put in my new cell phone. If i buy another sim card and put it in there, would my old phone send out any info to link it to me (ala my past paid service)

Or should i just buy a new one from scratch.

Personally I would just buy a new phone. Depending on the phone, they are pretty cheap

My personal phone is setup on a monthly plan with texts, data etc... but i would never use that for any kind of business that needs to be kept on the low. For that you should be getting prepaid phones that are cheap and you don't mind tossing in the garbage from time to time. For comical twist make sure they are registered to disney characters. My last phone was owned by donald duck himself.

One thing to consider is phones have IMEI numbers on them that are linked to your specific phone. If this phone were to be traced they may br able to get the unique imei. If this phone was used previously with a contract the LEO can get your information. If someone else had this phone before you and tells Leo that they tossed it and someone must have gotten it out of the dumpster.

Pay as you go = no plan

Same number and you pay cash for minutes.

trac is good for limited conversations, cause it gets expensive. But for a few calls here and there great option.

If you plan on making a lot of calls like in a bigger op where you have employees, partners etc, then boost is the way to go. $50/month pay in cash at radio shack or any boost store. They ask for a name, just give them a fake. They dont care.

The phone is not to talk dirt, never talk dirt on ANY phone. The phone is so when Joe Blow gets popped, and they search his phone, they get your # and its a burner.

Never call your house, girlfriend, spouse,mom etc from the burner. It is a stretch but that leaves a link back to you and your phone.

Ideally everyone is using burners and if one phone gets captured, every # on its history, and the history of those #'s is burners


Of course you also have cops who seize all your PC's, cars, motorcycles, etc, then leave a drawer full of burners
