For over a week now, everyday, I've been looking at the weather forecast and it said good chance of rain either the night I was looking at the forecast or the next day.. So everyday for the past 10 or so days, I've held off on lugging water out to my plots because I planned on rain coming in that night. And the rain has yet to come! :moon:

My plants haven't had any water in 2 weeks and a bunch of them were just planted about 3 weeks ago and were still very small!! I'm sure my bigger plants are fine but the small ones that didn't even root into their holes yet I'm worried have wilted away.. Had to rant, sometimes mother nature doesn't work for us :(

I'm going out tonight I'll let everybody know the turnout. Its obvious, never trust the weather man

try burying a few 1 liter bottles with holes in the bottom 1\4 of bottle . bury so only a lil bit of the top is exposedfor filling.. the water will last alot longer from not being evaporated.... 2-3 bottles 4 a 5gal or bigger hole and u shoulnt have to water but 2 times weekly only if no rain any ? hit me back

Its been like that all season here and its extremely unusual. Usually I am more concerned about too much rain. Now people always wonder why I'm smiling and happy everytime it rains.

By the way, I used polymer crystals for the first time this year and they seem to be the shit. All of my plants that aren't in a swamp are still doing just fine without water for like 10 days. The crystals work man.

We just got plenty of rain on the east coast of the us.

Now I got to see just how effective water crystals are!

Definitely a must for any guerrilla growers.

I'm using shitty Miracle Grow Extended-Feed Potting Mix, mixed in with some sphagnum peat moss. I was broke when I started my grow, I really regret not at least getting the MG with water chrystals

teased again tonight.. the weather called for 75% rain and there was big black clouds this time. i had some things to do so i didnt have a chance to go water the plants just in case. and sure enough, we got literally a FEW sprinkles but not nearly enough to water any plant.. mother nature is not diggin me right now lol

I live close to Santa Claus and we haven´t seen any rain in weeks AND the temps have been in the lower thirties for three weeks in a row.
Not what you´d think of Scandinavia?
We all have to water more or less daily...:tumbleweed:

Hey Marcellas,

Buddy, we're all just a good shower away from where youre at today. I started out with lots of rain, in fact 9" in 1 day that drowned some of my plants. Then the spigot shut off completely for 60 days and i worked my ass to the bone packing jugs. Thank god for now its hit and miss, but hitting enough that im not having to carry.

Let me give you some advice Marcellas. Its something i learned the hardway and its based on years of growing, loosing crops to drought and its cannabis growing law. No exceptions ever. The drier your plants get, the longer it will take them to begin flower and the longer it will take them to flower once flower sets. They can take a minimul dry spell or 2, but cannabis is a high moisture plants and 1 wilt = 1 week delay in flower/maturity, 2 wilts = 2 week delay... and so on. If cannabis plants of any strain go for repeated periods of wilt and inadequate moisture, they will never mature fully regaurdless of how much water they recieve after that stress, and you'll be harvesting 1/2 mature buds on Nov.1st. I have seen that happen over and over.

I would get my empty milk jugs filled and hit the road unless youre absolutely, gauranteed to have adequate rain within the next 48 hrs ,and then more within the next 5 or 6 days to catch things up. If not, you'll need to hit them again about friday of this comming week..... 2 gl. per plant/ 4 days to start and then pray, dance, swear, poke needles in the rain god or piss 3 times and scream towards the south -then cross your fingers and hope like hell your circumstances change.

driest year since records began here in the UK.

best to water well, but less frequently - then the plant's roots will go deeper into the soil as the surface dries out - making them more resistant to drought

Marcellas, I've found I can make it rain on command.

All I have to do is give the girls a good, heavy soaking or wash one of my vehicles.

Guarantees a downpour within 24 hours.......

I feel your pain. No rain here in 2 months except some showers that just stir up the dust.

you need to be careful what you wish for, mr. marcellas. it's been 6 or 7 years now since i last carried water to plants and you have no idea how many times over these years that i longed for a return to those days. at least, when there is a need to carry water you have some control over the future of the plant. not the case when mother nature retains control.

i live in the midwest usa, the corn belt. six or 7 years ago global warming arrived where i live which basically is a repositioning of the jet stream which becomes a wall to moving weather fronts and results in summers and falls where the rain will not stop. last september, the whole month passed without a single rain for the first time in years, the plant loved it and i realized how lucky i was back then when i had to carry water. trust me, the other side of the coin from dry season is much worse. peace-biteme
