I will not shut off my lights but surely I will be outpaced by the corporate entity with a few million to spare on a room as opposed to the slow pace of my 100sqft or so, making me insignificant competition.. Do you think for one second my twelve year old is going to be smoking up a dime bag, or smoking at all? If my kid smokes, I AM DOING SOMETHING WRONG. And it would need a remedy. I was around drugs and alcohol while I grew up. My friends with weak family units were the ones drinking and doing drugs. A couple of my friends that were smart tried it but backed away.

Everything that people receive in assistance without working for, is something that someone worked their ass off to give. Welfare, unemployment, amnesty. Its all degrading our senses of self responsibly. It starts at home. Bad parenting leads to bad decisions. And kids will make the wrong decision, but parents are supposed to be there to show them whats right, and make them do whats right. Parents expect the schools/government to do majority of their parenting now. Its truely sad.

I dont believe in 0 regulation for everything. But I dont think a weed (among other things) should be taxed, and regulated as such.

I cannot write a bill right now.. But I'll tell you this, my bill would leave it up to the people by a direct vote from the people pertaining to the issue of prohibiting sales in a county.

I would also take out the prison terms of up to seven years for non violent "crimes" in which no party can claim injury, and both parties mutually agreed upon terms of the event. I would replace it with community service, and classes (taught by someone doing community service).

I would take out the growing restriction. WHO THE HELL CARES how much pot I grow. Get the hell out of my house.

I would lower the age to 18, if you can die for this country, you should be able to consume whatever the hell you want.

And no taxes beyond sales tax (dont get me started on sales tax).

Well wait, maybe these taxes will fix all our budget problems, maybe its THIS tax revenue that will do it and our budgets will be fine! Throw money management out the window, we got another source of tax revenue!!

1) the pain can be so bad sometimes that even ON my heavier meds you can find tears streaming down my cheeks 3-5 nights a week as i beg god to let me just get one nights sleep, much less a pain free day, hour or fuckin minute
2) i consider ending my pain at least once a day...think about that...not killing myself cuz im depressed, but because i havent found a single solitary body position in YEARS that allows me to be even relatively pain free...i want you to think about that for a second...do me a favor and imagine being 100% unable...no matter what you do...to find physical comfort....i even DREAM about pain...if you can, for a second, assume i am neither exaggerating nor lying about this subject...can you EVEN UNDERSTAND what im talking about?
3) my life is gone....i am nothing but a waste product of the federal machine that kills and maimes our men and women for the benefit of our bottom line...i am waiting to die...that, and cannabis, is ALL THAT MY LIFE IS...

Wow man, I feel bad for posting that last one now. I have had a pretty awful opiate experience in my life and I guess I always assume the worst about people who take those pills because the majority of people I have known who take them fake injuries to get them.. I can't imagine what actual pain would require opiates, but I do know the pain of opiate addiction and defeating it is a daunting task indeed.

Yes they can get more gear than you, but they also have to maintain it, and pay for the electricity. They pay a much higher rent overhead. They pay higher taxes over all. They have to buy insurance for employees, and the huge amounts of stuff they have.

When new grow inovations com along you will beable to adapt much quicker.

also if your grow is three people then you will all be on top of shit. You wont have a boss trying to manage 30 guys that arnt gonna listen. Do you think the mexican imigrant worker growing for big corps will give two shits about the overall quality? nope.

Small growers always will be able to adapt quicker and grow better bud. Plus the big corporation factories will get pollen bombed anyways just so we can keep them out.

The Oakland City Council isn't waiting for November to begin jumbling the legal rules. The Council's Public Safety Committee approved licensing wholesale pot growing Tuesday, 3-to-1.

KALW News reporter Ali Winston reports from that meeting that sponsors say the main reason for the proposal isn't revenue, it's safety (as their name implies): residential electrical fires more than doubled in the city in the past three years, and officials think there's a good connection between that increase and unregulated pot "grow houses."

That said, the committee proposes that applicants pay fees of over $275,000 per operation.

Approved by the committee and full City Council, four large growers would be permitted in the first year.

One grower said he embraced regulation but argued that the plan would force medium- and small-scale cultivators to close down, move, or "go back underground into the dark ages."

The ordinance doesn't yet set a limit on the size of the large cultivators

The plan also would permit Oakland's four licensed dispensaries to sell to retailers across California.
