I'm just guessing, but I would say 8-10 gallon pots and 6+ weeks veg.

I would try a dwc, you could shorten veg a week or two and also shorten flowering time. It would shorten your start to finish time by a month or so.

Try keeping the total canopy size to around 4'x4' and you should be able to squeeze every bit of bud out of the plants if the rest of the environment is ideal.

3 to 4 feet is about as far as a 1K light will develop a bud,....that is: the small buds on the bottom of the plant that are farthest from the light will still be decent sized and developed buds as long as you don't get much farther than 4 feet (48")

now you COULD add some supplemental CFL lighting down low, and grow some friggin indoor TREES if you want,...but to answer your question (imo) you should keep the girls to 4 feet from soil to top of plant for the best USABLE yield.

so figuring out how much NL will stretch is the missing piece of your equation.

if they are too tall, you'll chop em before flipping the lights down to a flowering photoperiod, and if too short, you grow em some more.

as far as pot size, remember the above ground plant likes to be the same size as the root ball/container.

I like the #5 tall nursery pots, they hold 5.3 gallons of soil, and are only 10" diameter, so I can cram 4 rows of 3 in my tiny 4X5X8 grow space, I keep my girls under 4 feet when fully mature, because I have no room for any supplemental lower lighting
