Watching on the news right now. City of Commerce, near LA, they have a train pulled over! lol At least one tanker car is filled with TONS of cannabis. Right now they are pulling out bails by the dozens. I'll fill in the details later as they become avail. Looks like a record amount already. Wonder how long they have been using this method and getting away with it?

COMMERCE -- Police have made what they're calling a "major drug bust" inside a tanker car at a rail yard in the city of Commerce.

Thousands of pounds of marijuana were discovered inside the tanker Monday morning. A hazardous materials team is on scene because the tanker may also have contained fuel which could pose a significant danger, according to detectives.

Officers were led to the rail tanker after a drunk driving stop late Sunday night, according to Officer Sara Faden of the Los Angeles Police Department.



The exact amount of marijuana discovered inside the tanker is not known at this time, but detectives say there could be thousands of pounds of the illegal weed hidden inside.

Detectives are using a ladder truck from the Los Angeles Fire Department to reach the hatch on top of the tanker.

this whole thing sounds wierd drunk driver leads them to tanker car full of pot,looks like they could not get a warrant to look and ask the nice drunk to help them.30 years and longer i know of tankers moving bails of smoke they popped a tanker fleet in the 70's that was driving trucks of tar and asphalt across with double tanks .where theres a will theres a way.with all this nafta crap i am suprised it even had to be hid since approved trucks do not even get stopped crossing the border unless they changed that ,i would not know as since i have nothing to do with nafta or mexico .but it sure sounded crazy if they approved you ,you got fast tracked across crossing without a looksee

Update:

They stopped pulling brick weed out of the tanker because they found a possible explosive device. The bomb squad is on the way. So far several tons have been recovered.
