hi all im new to all this and im glad i found this site as its so comprehensive the best i have found of this type
hopefully one day i will post a diary of my exploits after a good bit of learning.
Hmm.. you can spell comprehensive and use the word, "exploits" in a sentence. Yet. You don't know how to capitalize or the use of a comma in a contraction. This thread seems a tad porcine in nature.

start with coco perlite mix or close to it, this lets you learn plants and hydroponics without disaster
venting hot air out of a house is usually just a temporary fix unless one really knows your enviroment outside the box (no need to lose sleep over flir, sorry guys).
take time and dont rush, endurance, security, proper investment and implimentation is key.
dont smell dont tell dont sell
Wondering if someone should know of a garden? Do they need to know or do you just want to share your happiness?

I think I would be the opposite, you can look me up on filesharing websites if you like, I used to be a admin and mod at sharethefi###.com (not linking as I dont want to get in trouble.) my normal user name is NiKEUS but when I registered that user name I never got an activation email, no luck on emailing admin either so I just re-registered.
I will be making a grow quite soon, I'm buying up equipment to do a hydro scrog. I have to invest in more stealth equipment as the police do like to catch growers in the UK.

I'm giving up on grammar sorry, its hard work to think that much, spelling comes more naturally than grammar to me.
thanks calamus for the pointers, i have a carbon filter and currently in the process of building a box around a Dr tent for my first few attempts I'm not looking to produce tons just a enough to tick over between cycles, current have 250w mh and 250w hps for the tent I'm a complete novice and have been pouring over the info here for weeks.
to cut a long story short the plan is:
insulated box using radiator foil and rockwool, gap between that and the tent will be ventilated slightly with a carbon filter if i can afford another lol and then the tent will have its carbon filter and venting into an area that produces heat already....
overkill... yes but better safe than sorry, plus if i decide to go to 400w I'm definitely covered.

thanks, i have my nft ready my mh is ready and waiting for a cmh 400w to compliment it as i read through the cmh thread that is 100+ pages long i thought i gotta have one of them bad boys all the way throughSounds like a killer start
