Clones and plants showing yellowing, brown spots, curling. Heat? Boron def? With pics

I'm growing three clones and some bag seeds under 400w hps. The light is 8-14 inches away from the plants depending. My soil mixture is a mix of 1/3 peat moss, 1/3 steer compost, 1/3 perlite, then 1 cup per 3 gallons of soil of bone meal, blood meal, and kelp meal.

I'm fertilizing with foxfarms grow big about once every other watering for the clones, and I have barely fertilized the seeds at all. I've given the biggest (and most vigorous) clone the most nutes, and it's showing the most symptoms as well.

It does get fairly hot in there but I don't feel that the heat is too much to burn the plants, I can hold my hand over them. And, even some of the little seedlings far away are showing signs.

Here are the pics. What is my problem, what should I do?

that soil mix is hot enought to bring you through veg, dont use the foxfarm growbig, first of all because you are totally organic and that shit isnt, second of all its helping to burn your plants. just lay off that shit and youll be good

It kind of sounds like you heard all those things are good for plants so you tossed them all together and then seasoned the soup with FF nutes. In other words ... That mix is far too strong for seedlings/young plants (and even hardened clones apparently) and you have added More Food to the problem. What do the seedlings look like under a non HPS light source?

they would benefit much more with some foxfarm big bloom, wich is liquid bat guano and ewc and its organic, see if you can trade the fertilizer, or just return it to the store for a refund. if they give you any skuff at the hydro store say it was defective and they sell defective products, they will have to make good.

The seedlings look good, but some of them are starting to show the same symptoms. You guy think is a case of over-nuting?

Should I go ahead and flush all the plants?

its a good start, the clones definately look like they would benefit from flush, your seedlings look fine. just letting you know your probabely gonna see some calcium & magnesium deficiency late veg or in flowering so you need epsom salt or dolemite lime to fix it. you can prevent it next time by putting 2 tbs of dolemite lime per gallon of soil mix

It really looks like Lock Out due to a salty medium ... as I've never amended peat quite like you have IDK if flushing will help ... when I grow in soil I build it, let it sit for a few months and when I use it I simply water it. When I grow in peat and perlite with the intentions of using hydro nutes I add Nothing to the Pro Mix BX and I start seedlings with a few sets of leaves or freshly rooted clones off with a 1/4 strength feeding to see how they're going to act.

I have epsom salt, could I foliar feed it to give them calcium + mag?
dont do it now, wait til your plants show signs of deficiency. the grow big has calcium and magnesium so im sure they got a healthy dose for now, I would foliar spray them at the start of flowering with 1/4 tsp per quart of epsom crushed up

what do you suggest i do getsohi? i have dolomite lime and epsom salt.

only thing that throws me off, is i've used this exact soil mixture before with bog seeds as well as wonder diesel on two different grows and had no problem.

this is just a clone from a friend and some bag seeds though

do i need a new soil mix?

do i need a new soil mix?
Yes ... or a weaker version to start your seedlings and just rooted clones in. What has formerly tolerated that mix means nothing to the plants suffering in it now. From your other thread I see that the seedlings that looked good no longer do ... Is your manure fresh or aged? Are you letting your mix sit for a spell before you use it? Can you pop out the rootball and see if the meals are getting washed to the bottom of the medium?

Your mix is too hot........no def or anything like that

I do half Fox farm OC half pro-mix no liquid nutes in veg

in addition to the soil problem, sounds like you are cooking your plants by convection, keep the light @ 2' minimum from plant tops, add fresh incoming air and exhaust the heat from the grow space
