Tent grow advice?

[FONT=&quot]I have been reading past threads and gathering information for the past few months as well as studying the grow bible. I plan on doing a 90-day soil grow cycle hand watered in a tent setup. I have thought up of a few lighting setups, but wasn’t sure which one would be the best. I intend to have 6-9 plants in Air-pots. Thank you for your advice and thoughts.[/FONT]

Go with 2x 600w HPS - LEDs are garbage, perhaps use that for veg only if anything

I have a 600 and a 250. 250's can produce pretty good but when used next to a 600 it wouldnt do much. The penetration of the 600 and the 250 is like night and day, with the 250 you'd have to have shorted plants and have the light closer to the tops to make it worth it.

with 850 watts you should be able to be able to pull almost a P and a half. I'd recommend using the 250 in a separate grow space to get the most out of it. HTG has tents for 250 HPS's for pretty cheap. I use mine separately the 250 in a tent and the 600 in a closet.
Or just get another 600 and produce even more, the 600 and equipment will pay for itself in the first crop.

I have run 2x600 in a 1.2x1.2m tent and it is too much light even with air cooled hoods, that works out to 75w psf which when you take into account pot height and plant height its too much light for the top of the plants. 1000w is perfect for me at 62.5w psf but you can still get 53.1w psf with your 600 and 250. Anything over 50w psf for me is a bonus and not entirely neccesary. Good luck!

I currently run in a 4x8 Secret Jardin with pretty much the same method (hand water, etc). I did used to use the DR120 with 2x150w MH for veg & 2x400w HPS for bloom. Use the 850w of lighting that you have already. I would go with what Iron said or explore some of the other options he gives. The 600w should give you an abundant harvest.

Thanks for the response, so I plan on just having 1 tent and just using both the lights i already have. Instead of the DR120, I am considering a DR100L as another option because of size issues. i am pretty confident that ill be able to fit both lights in that size of a tent. My plan is to use the 250w MH through the vegging cycle and than add in my 600w HPS during flowering. On the 250w i was considering using the Hortilux Blue Day Light Bulb, instead of the SunMaster. What do you guys think about these updates to my tent? Thanks

Correction: I actually use a DR100 for vegging. You could do the 250w MH for veg then throw in the 600w HPS for bloom. Putting them both in there I think would be too much light. I used to be in your shoes with the option of only having 1 tent (the DR100) & that's what I did. Swapped out the veg light with a HPS when I transitioned to bloom. Hope this helps. Good luck.

So you don't think i would benefit from having both lights in during the bloom phase? if i had the hortilux blue day light bulb and sun master daylight bulb going at the same time, the plants would receive more spectrum and be denser. We'll have to see once i get my tent in because the 250w is quite heavy due to the built in ballast, and i am kind of scared of the tent not being able to support it...

I run either a 400w or 600w light in my DR100 tent during flowering. I use the 400w to veg with. It's simple and it produces very well. Add a fan and carbon filter and have a party.
