Hello IC'ers

I wanted to put together a roll-call thread for OCF this year. I'll be there with bell's on - in fact I got behind-the-scenes access because a connection to a super nice old-school gonzo herb journalist.

Who all is going to be there? And if you are what strains are you bringing? Obviously OCF has cracked down on the open-air-bud market that it used to be but if you're a vendor, volunteer, or are connected to either once the sun goes down the PARTY starts. We should definitely work on a Oregon ICMag session.

I went there once like 20 years ago, I was teen at the time and I was awestruck by all the women running around with no tops, heh heh. Never went back as a adult, though I am sure it would be alot of fun for me. Its just a step or two too far north for me to attend, maybe one of these years I'll break out north for the weekend......

Unfortunately, sort-of.

They got into huge trouble years ago because it was an open-air drug market. They then started their own security force, which won't bust you but if you get caught smokin' they'll toss you out quickly. Which sucks 'cause tix are $20+.

The thing is dope-smoking is still super prevalent and its not hard to blaze, eat shrooms, etc etc. Just not like it once was

As I mentioned if you volunteer, work a food or vendor booth, the real party starts when the fair itself closes down. Also those booths have private party rooms for all-day partying. Get to know someone and you're in.

Im going with my wife and daughter (shes 2). we will probably camp out for 3 days. there are alot of kids/families there. plenty of herb smoke too...more of a peaceful rainbow love atmosphere than a rock concert feel to the fair. also, i think most of the nudity is about an expression of freedom, rather than a sexual thing. lots of women with their breasts out, and cmon folks, you know it aint sports illustrated, these are neo-hippies, not spring breakers.

a bit startled about LEO being there. I know the county sheriff cracked down in 98' my impression was that they were laying off in the past few years. i havent been since before the kid was born, I thought folks were just burning in the open? that changed GW?

ocf is awesome, take some mushrooms and when you go into the "gates" its like a decent down the rabbithole into hippieland. its amazing!! ill be there again this year with another icmager Freebird. Look for the giant drum circle at darlas (you cant miss it) and youll be in our area. i know some of the security as well as promoters so ill try n see what we cando about a lil secretive rendevous for us icmagers and ommp card holders

I would like that as I am kinda strapped on cash and would like to get it so I can realy fit in, I might roll with couple girls/couple bruhas roadtrip status

I'm moving out to Portland soon, but won't be there soon enough to attend this year. Looks like big fun though, I'll definitely be going next year.

Just in case someone doesn't know, the dates for the 2010 OCF are July 9, 10, and 11.

The OCF site says,

The application period to perform on our stages, volunteer for the Teen Crew or sell a new craft or food item at the 2010 Fair has passed. We have no exceptions and no waiting lists. Please check this website early next year for applications for the 2011 Fair.

Ok, so I really want to go this year, how ever id also really like to not get kiicked out for token my meds though out the day... I have Epilepsy and and Wa state mmj, I know that dosnt mean anything in oregon as far as me being legal but with out consuming a fairly stedy supply of cannabis I am prone to triggers for my Epilepsy. So my question is if my condition was explained to staff and I medicated "out of sight, out of mind" would they "ignore" my multipule minor infractions of there rules? Or would I be better to risk it and keep my mouth shut, my joint lit, and hope I don't get kicked out (dam been years seance I last had to feel like I was a criminal for token)....... any way, to those who read or respond a deep thanks.

night fair is major fun but so is camping outside the fair. I will be there with bells on. Pockets full of blueberry and newberry X jack the ripper. Cant describe how much fun it is !!!!!!

I'm in my third year on my crew as an adult, although I've worked with the crew since I was 7. My dad put the crew together.
