how would you get the maximum out of

a setup where you can only have 4 plants at a time?...i've got northern lights....2 in veg (fluoros)for about 55 days and 2 in flower (400 hps)for about the same..i've got 3 gallon smart pots... nl clones are available as needed so dont need a mother....can i get the most out of these with a 400 watt vertical bulb and 3 gal pots?....i'm strictly organic,usin lc's mix and recipe #1......do you fellers have any suggestions,and would you share yer experience to help out an old fat man...

it would be helpful to know if what was limiting you was the sq footage of your floor space. i.e you could only fit 4 3 gals in you cab.

A vert set up might require more sq footage then a horiztonal scrog.

i know someone with four plants (not personally) but he makes 2KGs quite efficiently in a 2 square metre tent under a scrog...really,i think ya just need ta enjoy tucking leaves and all for most of the year to see the bounty of your labor...but it can be done with just the four,meanwhile im on a sog vibe and due to exactly that am also trying to get slowly into the whole scrogging for less plant numbers too as 2 kegs is adequate for my need by 200%

I think it would be tough to do a perpetual flower room without going over 4 plants. I would have one mother, root 3 clones, veg them, then flower them, and repeat. Be about a 3 month cycle instead of 2.

If you try to go perpetual with a dedicated flower room. I can pretty much promise you, you will go over 4, every time you clone, while your flowering plants finsh. At that point you will have flowering plants, veging plants, rooting plants, and a mother. So maybe if you flower 1, veg 1, root 1(not a good idea, always root more than you need), and your 1 mother. So I forget the dedicated flower room perpetual setup.

ironlung,space is not a problem..i grow in 2 different rooms..with the 400 i havent had to use ac yet..use window fans to bring air in and out of rooms..i'm in the boonies so not overly concerned with smell..

I think the best way to maximize you yield with 4 plants is to keep 1 mother and have 3 in flower. when you are coming a few weeks to harvest of your 3 plants start like 10 clones and veg em for a week or so. once they have grown a little kill off all that have under preformed and pick the best genetics. you then should grow these 3 new plants to 12 inches tall and then "lollipop" them, which means to cut off all leaves and bud sites on the bottom 1/4 of the plants. this will force energy to the main colas, this will also help with air flow in your canopy. after this you can out these 3 into flower and then start the process over again. each plant should harvest from 1-2 pounds. PS if you are worried about the law and thats why you only wanna have 4 plants, you can still take clones because if the plant is not triggered (in flower) then it is not considered illegal because it contains no flower.

id do LOOOOOOONG veg on 2 at a time scrog style.

get 4 clones from your source and start 2 screens.

60 days into veg flip one of them then start a rotation. get two more start them vegging under screen....ect....

but id use a big ass screen since your square footage is not limited...maybe harvest less often but harvest BIG when you do?

i guess it varies from state to state cuz i got real lucky numbers wise cuz half my plant count was cuttings when the tennessee boys came in
