Anyone seen the documentary "Green Rush" ?

A compelling look at the lives of some not-so-ordinary farmers, The Green Rush is a chronicle of the trials and tribulations of a unique group of marijuana farmers in Northern California.

I'm about a third of the way through it (hulu) and I'm having a hard time believing these guys aren't cops.

Not just because the very first words spoken at the start of the movie are "We don't want to use guns, but..." but also because the guys stand like cops, talk like cops, and seem to be pretty stupid... like cops.

Seeing as how this is featured on hulu.com, which is abc, nbc, and other mainstream media outlets all rolled into one place, it doesn't seem too far fetched that this is just a big rolling shitball of a smear movie.

I'll be back with my opinion once I'm done watching it...

Thoughts?

I'm not too sure what to think of it as a whole.

The whole thing was kind of based around getting ripped off or having it all seized, I just didn't like the way some of the people came off...

I just got finished watching it as well. I'm with you, I'm not too sure what to think of it as well. It was very surreal. I felt bad for them, but since it was their property, they could have taken preventative measures.

Yea I wouldn't say those guys are cops if so I guess me and my buddies would look like cops on camera cuz Red n Green reminded me of my buddy's and I... I thought it was suspect to the camera guy that just so happens every crop he filmed got robbed! Didn't fuck with Red and Green cuz they were armed and let it be known... I'd say they were real deal cats I know I've met Yellow before they didn't hide him very well or his ol lady lol. Shit is fucked up though they took him to the dirt and that greedy lil fucking Mexican getting Blue for 70k that's a good chunk of change right there!
