yeah this is the first reveg i've done, it's interesting watching the new stems come up because they're really really similar to seedlings popping up for the first time, and i'm interested to work out where they're coming from (anatomically) on the buds... i might use this as a mother and clone the shit out of her, or i might try flowering her after a bit of LST to separate this large number of stems out. we'll see what happens i guess haha should be interesting either way

the seedlings are at a range of different sizes as most (bar 2 of the power kush) were affected badly by the pH issues, but they're still kicking.

these guys, the healthy ones anyway, are really quick and high growers! the one of the left and the middle one too on the back row are really tall almost as tall as some of the clones i have 3 times their age!

i think i'll put these girls, well the clones anyway, outside in the next month. i'll get an organic soil mix up and running in the next week and go and prepare the location i'm going to plant the first ones. a few days before i plant putting the girls out i'll be taking 2-3 clones from each one, the lowest branches are the best to do so from as they have the highest amounts of growth hormones present. and i want these girls to get tall so don't think i'll top them.

they're growing nicely still, but slowly which is good as i don't want them getting too big. hopefully they don't get too root bound though and will be ok once planted outside. less than 2 months left. layered the top of each pot today with some more fertilizer which will hopefully give them a nice boost.

UPDATE: had some shit issues with plant health recently. i put a small layer of soil nutes on the surface of each plant about a week ago and watered it in, however even though i let each plant drain well it seemed they were suffering from overwatering. i checked the soil wetness with a probe and it wasn't above the norm though which was bizarre. for a few days i'd been debating cloning the plants out so at the first sign of wilting i thought screw it i'll clone (by topping) each plant. this is where the real issues arrived as once that was done within 2 days mould had killed all the clones taken and i noticed it'd also grown on the weak plants. i think because i keep my closet fairly humid (50-60%) and often foliar spray the mould just took off and left no prisoners unfortunately.

the two oldest and largest white widow clones went through all this without a hitch... they were as strong as ever. the mother white widow reveg is looking a little worse for wear. and i had another power kush, power plant and white widow that looked fine that i tonight put outside in the bush finally! i'm not too phased if those three cark it as i'm still learning all the time from these issues and my mistakes so it's all part of the process. but hopefully outside they do well. however i didn't have time to make cages tonight after putting them out so fingers crossed the wallabies i saw near the patch leave them alone in the coming months lol but i'm thinking i'll show up there in the next week and they'll be chewed to a stump haha.

anyway i stripped out the closet and sprayed and scrubbed it all down with anti-mould and bacterial disinfectant and let it air out, as well as also cleaning all my pots and surfaces near by. but being inside there are plenty of places for mould and fungi spores to settle and wait etc so not much i can do other than that and maybe keep the humidity down a little.

because it was dark outside i didn't get any pictures unfortunately. i used my peat moss based organic soil mix and put some slow release fert pellets in there too with it for now as well as mixing in a bit of the soil i'd dug from the holes. then watered them in.

also had an epiphany today while cleaning out my reptile tank. it's half full of water, about 100L, which i normally clean out every fortnight or so by which time it's absolutely full of poo and food and all other goodies (it gets gross but it takes a lot of water to clean out and i don't like wasting water while we're in a drought and under restrictions lol) anyway i'd read about a guy in europe using guppies to create decent ferts for his hydro set up so i took 2 buckets (25-30L) of the stuff to use for my plants in the future. it had a EC of about .55 and ppm of about 300 according to my TDS meter so it's not too full on but there's enough in there for early veg plants. i can always add to it. lol also keep that stuff outside as it reeks of uric acid (reptile/bird shit). anyway here're some pics

mazar-i-sharif x 30 (germ rate might not be great as these were freebies) these i'm hoping to start breeding with.

thought i'd try the cup and water method. glued labels underneath the cups to remember what's what, though the different seed numbers will help.

Be careful out there Darwin, there are tigers in the forest.

Root rot or phytophora or die back is prevalent in some areas and there isn't anything you can do about it.

thanks for the advice high country. hopefully i'll avoid those baddies, but if not it's all experience. not many other options when all you have to play with at home is a small closet. :D
