LayedBack's INDOOR goin' OUTDOOR 2010

So i have been having some overwatering issues. After plugging a little late, i saturated the transplanted pots a little too much. Didn't take into account the large smart pot capacity for storing water deep into the pots, and watered again, twice in a week period. So they went from a little droop from shock to a little droop from overwatering. Ive been letting them dry out for 5 days now. Bottom leaves still droopy, but the tops have perky growth... never had a overwater problem, so im hoping thats all these symptoms are... i should put some pics up in a few.. hope everyones grow is doing amazing out there!

First 2 pics are the bigger 200 gallon ladies who have really no over saturation problems..

3rd pic shows the droopy leaves on the 100 gal's

I checked out those camo pots... kinda plasticky on the camo side... i wonder how that will affect the temps of your soil.

Yeah the Camo Pots were not by choice, but everyone was out of Smart's when i needed them. Sides and bottom are def more plastic and it just doesnt feel right for the aeration of the plants. So far the soil temps are ok, we will see down the road.

Maad, did you get your large hortonova trellis yet? they sent me a email saying will be sent on the 25th due to back orders but so far nothing.

yeah. i spoke to that dude at Ag Solutions a couple of days ago... he sent me MycoStop without warning me that it was a refrigerated product and it would be unwise to ship it on a holiday weekend... guess its my bad in the end for not doing my homework, but that would not have slipped past em at PVGS. He also told me that the Hortonova would be in this coming Wednesday. I'll believe it when I see it.

I have been buying 6.5' trellis in 50' lengths...bagged. Its about $15 for each one... in the big roll the stuff is worth about $0.10/ft... so the bags I am buying are 3x the price. I got enough for one garden...we'll see if I have to go that same route for the other garden.

I was at a store the other day and they had a camopot out front with holes cut in it and a sign that read "please don't water me"....lol. Are you finding watering issues with these?

one time I was buying smartpots, they were out of them at the place I went to... instead, they tried to foist those camo jobs on me, but the camo layer was plasticized... turned me off big time.

LB: you are running them side by side with smarties. I too am interested in any appreciable differences. Thanks.

I have one of my best plants in one of the 200 gallon camos, while 2 other arnt doing so well. It is hard to compare anything at the time because 75% of my pots had pathogens in a compost i added. The only good one, as stated above in the camo, had none of the compost in it...

But running both in the smaller of aeration pots camo/smarties 20 gallons, i notice no difference really. I still prefer smart pots to the plastic shells as well though... just preference, no solid reasoning.
