IME, too much stress can permanently damage a plant but they can usually handle re-veg without problems as long as all other conditions are good. They'll start growing out single blade leaves, then 3, 5, etc... wait until the growth looks normal before you take clones. Good Luck!

What he said. Some of my favorite cuts have been re-veged. It's either that or tell stories of the one that got away.

hey guys can you give me any recommendations on how to slow down the drying of my harvest….last time i trimmed up each branch and hung them to dry in my tent with the exhaust running on the lowest setting. It only took 4 days until the branches were close to snapping so i put them in jars then. The smoke turned out great but im looking to get "softer" feeling nugs if that makes sense. any ideas are welcome. im not opposed to spending money if necessary i got some extremely dank ladies this run that i dont want to fuck up now. thanks

Still working on that one myself....I've heard use a humidifier and a dehumidifier at the same time, go for above 40% RH but not above 50%....

hahah ya this is the only thing bad about CO's low humidity! That range seems like a real bitch to maintain. i may try throwing them into jars super early and just monitoring them closely and at night maybe dump them in a paper bag to dry some.

hang dry the whole plant, then trim if you want a slower dry...A hygrometer will be real useful as well.. a separate drying area is also helpful, a dark cool closet is great..

cardboard box works for me and my friends... you can hang it inside on wire or strings or use screens stacked inside of the boxes.. if you use the same box over and over it basically breaks in and you have a great drying box.. and once its dry where the stem snaps you put it into jars and then by the next morning they should be nice and sponge like... not wet and not dry. i think there is a thread on the perfect cure using humidity levels.. i know by touch what is correct or what i prefer

Long story short control your environment...

i have a hydrometer. i may try that whole plant technique. wont trimming be a bitch then? also my tent is basically a "dark cool closet" should i just turn the fan off or time it to rum intermittently? as i said before last time i set it on the lowest setting and scrubbed 24/7

I hang large branches in a closet in a basement. Seems to dry them very slowly, like 7-10 days before they are ready to hit the jars. Usually I will leave the door open, or open for a few hours a day. Also I don't wait for the stems to snap before hitting the jars, just before that point. Also leave most of the trimming till after it has been hung up. Hope that helps, good luck!

Edit--Funk beat me to it, good advice.

keep air flowing in the closet but not on the herb.. yes trimming is a little bit more difficult. like green was saying the optimal rh for drying is between 40 -50 % . Drying herb slowly in colorado is an art, whereas it's quite the opposite most other places.. Most other places it's nearly impossible to get your herb completely dry.. good luck

To be quite honest though I haven't had this prob for some time, I usually trim wet, cut into branches, set on a screen to dry for 5-7 days. cut it off the stem, into the jar to sweat. sweat the herb till it's soaking wet, remove from jar, back on the screen for about 12 hrs or until dry(ish), into the jar..ect ect.. until the stem snaps with relative ease. back into the jar for the cure.. You just gotta pay close attention here, the climate changes real drastically, a real hot day can make things dry out quick in a semi warm room..

We run a humidifier in our drying room starting at 65 the day the plants are cut. We walk the humidity down to 35 or so over a couple of weeks, dropping it 5 points each time.

This keeps them from smelling like hay. -CR

I tried Mr. Dank's method after he recommended it on this thread back in December, and its the shit!

for best flavor and smoothest smoke:

Hang the whole plant in a small closet and keep door shut and have NO fans or air circulation. My plants hang for an average of 2 sometimes 3 weeks. When the stems barely start to crack when you bend them, then it's time to trim. Trim leaves off and place everything in a large tub with the large stems still attached. Then I open the tub to let breathe for a minute or two for a a few days. Then i trim every bud off of the branch and place into tupperware for my patients and the rest in mason jars for me

Trimming wet is not ideal IMO because it forces the buds to dry too quickly

This is also really good advice... Some of the tastier herb I've got to puff for sure. IMO getting erb to dry and cure properly can prove to be a difficult task for most ..

Indeed Too dry no flavor and harsh. Too wet the bud spoils and it's like wet grass / hay.

i would just exhaust the tent less (or even none ala mr.dank). be extremely careful with NO exhaust...u can f things up bad if you're not careful. personally, i like a bit of new air each day. with your system, the only thing i would change is to exhaust it less. instead of continuous, crank it down to like 5 min a day. the number might be an hour a day, it's going to vary with ambient rh and i also like to vent less and less each day. point being some exhaust, not a lot. good luck!

Hey all, going to begin constructing a new room. What do you all use to adhere panda to walls? I have one un-finished wall, one finished, and a concrete wall. I was thinking about using industrial strength velcro. What do you think? Want to make this room some what easy to break down just incase we move.
